The master is not as pleased when he learns about the mission. Though his plans mostly imprisoned the girl from other alternative choices, I'm not sure if he has given a side consideration of her choosing the most preposterous, yet rather foolish decision.

"Where are they heading to now?" Master Utsuro asks through the ship's screen.

"Sir, I'm not entirely sure. We barely moved out of the enemy's nest."

"It's rather new for you to retreat."

Sensing the sarcasm, I reply, "You must know that I'm never up for that method. If it wasn't for that annoying little girl, I might've already brought you that rebel's head." I grimace at her pathetic face after she fought with him.

"I'm surprised the crew listened to her, nevertheless. I suppose they realize something that you don't." I keep my mouth shut at his mock. "Though I'm sure she'd do anything to prevent you from doing your latter statement," he says.

"I dare her try," I growl, regretting that I should've gone for the rebel instead. "Did you know that she would escape?"

"I thought she would eventually," he dismisses. "But her plan on using the situation to her advantage is rather quite...unthought of."

"Then why must you use her when she's beyond tamed?"

A ghostly smile flashes across his face. "Though beyond tamed, she possesses some unique potential that even the most tamed couldn't understand." I again can't help but twitch at his tone. "Her eyes burn with determination so bright, so pure."

"And you wish to find out what would happen if you taint that innocence with a permanent stain of blood," I finish for him, keeping any particular emotion from my voice. I was ignorant to the fact that my master even finds amusement in such low rats. "Excuse my bluntness, master, but what has this anything to do with training her?"

A real, vicious smile stretches across his lips. "Training her is a start," he says. "And now that she managed to escape from me, I can only say that everything is as planned."

A frown is etched to my face before I can stop it. "Planned?"

"Yes. Now that she's escaped, she will continue to hide, knowing I will always be behind her back, finding and following her. And if she wants to hide the truth behind her being, then she must and will become stronger."

I look at him, not understanding his real motive. But something agitating rests somewhere behind his words.

"She will become a worthy opponent, I best hope." Realization immediately seeps in my head, filling it with disbelief and completion of the puzzle. The puzzle behind the dull and prolonged time that was set for his plan.

To gain more potential enemies in order to end his long-suffered immortality.

"And you, you helped me placed all things that needed to be done. You've done well." Master Utsuro regards me with what looks like a truthful satisfaction in his although empty eyes.

And a ray of pleasure slithers beneath my skin. Yet I can't do more than give him the response he expects. "Thank you."

"I want you to stay as you are and scout for any movement from the rebels. And do inform me if you see the girl with my pupil again."

"Is there anything I must know if I do?"

"Though she denied, this time she might really join him. And it'd only make things progress in more haste."

"I understand," I say, but then remember one trivial, yet useful thing. "Master, I have a matter to consult to you. A very interesting one relating to the girl, I guarantee."

"Oh?" His lips curl again. "Do relate to me."

"Of course." I bow and match his gaze with a look of amusement. "I believe it will surely trigger her unique potential once she learns of it."
