"Good morning, Gin-san, Kagura-chan!"
I shut the door behind me and remove my shoes at the front. I step onto the tatami floor and peer into the living room, seeing nobody.
"Gosh, get up already. Do you know what time it is now?" I complain, walking in. Then I notice I pass something on the floor and crane my neck to see it.
It's a paper, left or probably dropped with some writings on it. Picking in up, I see that there's 'To Gintoki' being written on it.
"I wonder if someone dropped it here," I mutter to myself.
"What are you blabbing about in the morning?" comes Gin-san's sleepy voice as he emerges from the bathroom. "So noisy. I'm trying to take a peaceful dump here."
"No, you don't have to tell me that," I note. "And why are you still in pajamas? It's almost afternoon now."
He yawns and scratches his head, ignoring my remark then head back into his room.
"Hmm... Is it morning now?" mumbles Kagura-chan while she sleepily walk into the living room, rubbing her eyes. "I haven't got enough sleep."
"Yeah, you did," I retort. "For god sake, now you're starting to have his bad habit."
I walk to the table and pick up some plastic bags and other trash to throw them the bin. Kagura causally throws herself onto the couch, slowly drifting to sleep again.
"Kagura-chan! Go get changed. How are we going to run the business if people find out we're not even awake yet!"
"Hmm... It's not like we have customers anyway..." she mumbles, eyes still close.
"I'll buy you a box of seaweed if you stay awake," I say.
She jumps up straight. "Really?"
I nod. "Really."
She smiles brilliantly, wide awake and skips to her closet to change.
I can't help but smile at her then remember the letter in my hand. Strange though, why would anyone leave the paper there without bringing it to Gin-san?
"Gin-san," I call, inspecting the letter again. "I found a letter directing for you."
Coming out fully changed, he lazily walks to his counter and sits on the desk chair. Before he can ask about the paper, there's a knock on the door, following by a voice of a woman.
"Excuse me, is someone in there?"
"Yes, coming," I say, and proceed to open the door.
A woman in her late forties along with who seems like her husband look me, seemingly relieved about something.
"Sorry to interrupt you in such a early morning, but we heard that you're the Yorozoya and would do anything if requested?" the woman says.
"Yes, that's right. Please, come in." I gesture for them to enter and guide them to the living room where they will be seated.
Gin-san is now standing as he greets our new customers. And I'm impress how he sobers so quickly where as it seemed to take so much effort to keep his eyes open some minutes ago.
The spouses sit opposite of us, silently taking in the surrounding before Gin-san decides to break the silence.
"So," he starts, "what brings you here today?"
The woman seems reluctant about speaking, and glances at her husband. He takes her hesitation and in turn speaks up.
"We have a request for you," he says, and only that.
