Gray's POV
"Juvia, JU-VEE-AH.."
I concentrated really hard this time, taking in the deepest breath I could muster, "Juvia Juvia Juvia Juvia Juvia!"I slowly opened my tightly squinted eyes.
I peeked to the left. No Juvia. I peeked to the right. No Juvia.
I exhaled heavily, trying to keep my cool. (Haaa ice pun, get it get it? Ugh I have no life..)
.
..
...
.....
"AGH WHAT AM I EVEN DOING?!" I yelled in frustration as I chucked the clip across the room. There was a loud clink, as if something had broke.
"Crap," I cursed under my breath, hurriedly making my way to where the clip had landed, "Crap crap crap!"
The yellow butterfly clip was in two pieces, the metal clip itself snapped down the middle.
"Ah she's gonna kill me..."
I picked up the pieces, shoving them in my poc... Oh wait I'm not wearing pants.*Slips on pants* I shoved them in my pocket and slumped my way back to bed.
What is wrong with me...
I laid down on the bed and held up my hands, staring at my white knuckles as they clenched.
Did you really think it could work?! You're acting like a child!
I sighed in frustration again, running my hands through my hair and then pulling them down over my face.
I heard two taps on my door. I sat up quickly, looking around for my shirt.
I slid it over my head as I slowly pulled my door open and peaked out.
I didn't see anyone until I heard an angry cough.
I looked down. Two big blue magnified eyes stared back at me, a slight pout on her face.
I chuckled.
"Sorry pipsqueak. Did you need something?"Lillian rolled her eyes. "Like I haven't heard that one before... Can I come in?"
I rose an eyebrow. "Uh sure..?"
I stepped aside as she walked in my room.Thalia said I shouldn't be interacting with her... But I mean I can't let anyone see her in the hallway right now.. Erm...
My thoughts were interrupted as a hand brushed by my pocket.
"What's that?" She said, pointing at the metal clip poking out from my pocket.
"Um nothing........Hey!"
She snatched it from my pocket.
"It's so pret.. it's broken," she said disappointingly.
"Give it back," I snapped, ripping it from her hand."Gray-san why do have a girl's cl.." "Shut up."
She fell silent.
Dangit Gray she's a little girl...
"Sorry... It's my.. uh.. wife's. I took it from her dresser before I left home.." I chuckled nervously, "She's gonna kill me when she finds out I broke it.."
There was a small creak as Lillian sat on my bed.
Lillian's POV
I watched his face carefully as he spoke about his wife.
"Every couple of weeks she wears a different kind of clip or bow on her favorite hat. I remember this one specifically from the Grand Magic Games and that was when Erza said and blah blah blah blah she blah blah Lyon blah blah," he went on and on, losing one thought and trailing into another.
