so I've been volunteering at a local churches's vacation bible school since Monday and I absolutely LOVE IT!
I get to work with kids grades pre-k to 4th grade, which also means I'm watching my little sister
I'm working in the arts and crafts room so I see all the grades, and luckily my sister isn't a pest at the vbs
all the other volunteers are really nice and we all have a lot of fun with the kids
and the kids are just absolute angels for us, of course they get a little upset about some things, but even then they are so good about handling themselves
one kid accidentally ripped his craft and teared up a bit, but he actually came up to me to say he was sorry and gave me a hug. I told him he could make a new one and he was immediately happy!
This one group of girls is always hanging on me with hugs and little crafty gifts, and they all want me to play down by the banks with them
they are so tiny and cute that I just want to hug them to death
After the craft today I taught them a new game, and before they left all 17 of them came up to me and gave me a big hug
the groups 3rd grade and older did nothing of the sort
one pre-k boy came up and asked if he could give his to me to keep. when i asked why he said he wanted to give it to someone who deserved it, and i gave him a hug so I hard I thought i might have choked the life out of him
