By the time they arrived back at Fletch's everyone was home.
"Everyone this is Jac and Emma" said Fletch answering the door.
"Oh" sniggered Evie. "You're Jac. Hi"
Jac blushed remembering that Fletch had told Evie about them and that Evie was a 15 year old girl who would know that they would be doing more than holding hands.
"Hi" said Jac trying to be friendly
"Mummy is Fletch going to tell everyone that you're his girlfriend?" Emma asked
Fletch burst out laughing and swept Emma up in his arms "you young lady have the tact and diplomacy of your mother"
Emma giggled not really knowing what for
"Kids come and give your old dad a hug"
The Fletchlings approached their dad and even Mikey joined in the hug with Emma caught up too.
Jac didn't feel left out just overcome with emotion watching her daughter being enveloped in that..Hands clasped together under her chin she watched as Fletch. caught her eye and winked
Mikey looked over at Jac
"Punching a bit above your weight intya dad?"
"You're so right mate"
"Mummy said we're going to stay at uncle Elliot's house for a bit" Emma said to Fletch
"That's right sweetie" Fletch said
"Emma come and see my new wellies" Theo said dragging her off "wait for me" shouted Ella
Evie and Mikey started to gather up phone chargers, i pads etc and all of a sudden the room was quiet and Jac and Fletch were alone. Fletch went to her and took her in his arms "hi" he grinned
"Hi. You're feeling better then?"
"I had a little talk to myself earlier. I've had a lucky escape today because this amazing woman rescued me and has now organised a plan to keep me and my family safe. Yeah I'd say I was feeling better"
Jac reached up and kissed him
"What have the kids said about going to Elliot's?"
"It's weird, they're not questioning it. Happy to be going to a house where there's a stream "
"0h well let's just say nothing unless they ask?"
"Mmm" said Fletch "let's play it by ear. At some point they might need to know, to be aware of not answering the door and telling us if anyone they don't know turns up at school or ...."
"Stop Fletch. Let's go right now to Elliot's" Jac looked into his eyes
"You really are exceptional Naylor"
