"Now I've told Jac do you think you could at least untie my hands and let me put my trousers on" Fletch asked
"Oh I don't think so my darling. I don't think you've quite paid for what you did to me yet - and anyway" she ran her hand down his cheek. Fletch fought every instinct in his body which wanted to reel away in disgust and stayed still. Not responding in any way
"You're wary of me. I understand" she was still holding the scalpel, the wound on her hand still bleeding. She suddenly took notice of it even though Fletch had pointed it out some time ago
"Look what you made me do" she had anger in her eyes "let's see if we can make you understand what pain you've caused Adrian" she went to his bound hands. His wrists were red from struggling as subtly as he could. She reached for his left hand and drew the scalpel blade across his palm. Their injuries matching now. He didn't react to the pain but was aware that the cut was deeper than the one on his leg.
"Don't worry you'll be free soon and then you can touch me like I know you want to"
Fletch felt sick at the thought and wondered if his plan had worked. Surely Jac would realise something was wrong but if she didn't and she believed the message there was no help coming.
Suddenly the phone rang. Abigail answered in brisk CEO fashion but keeping her eyes fixed on Fletch and the scalpel in her hand
"Well can no one else speak to them?"
She listened briefly to the person on the other
"Alright, alright I'll be there in 5 minutes"
"I have to leave to meet the press - she said finding the first aid box and bandaging her hand.
"Now you Adrian need to wait for me here until I get back. Please don't think about leaving I have plans for us. I might call in the crèche to check on Theo on my way back"
"Abigail I beg you to leave my children out of it"
"Oh stop worrying darling they will love me. See you soon" she left the office making sure to lock the door.
Jac, Petrenko, Reg and Barney were watching on the CCTV in the security office.
"That's it, we've got about 10 minutes before she gets down there, realises there's no press waiting for her and comes back"
