I walk over to my team and kick off my sandals. We take outfield first. I'm second base. The first kicker is Fitz."Come on Mr. Kennedy!!" Shouts one of the girls on his team. He kicks the ball. It goes really far. One of the guys on the far right, near where the ball went goes after it. Fitz makes it to first base by the time the boy grabs it. He tosses it to me. I catch it right before Fitz reaches the plate.
"Out!" Yells one of the guys. Fitz laughs.
"I hate you," He says.
"I know," I say and laugh. The next girl is up. She kicks it a decent ways away. One of our guys catches it.
"Two outs!" Yells the same voice...Marx.
I smirk at Fitz who leans against the gate. They have another out, two kicks later and we switch rounds. My team does well. It's my turn fifth.
I kick it towards last base, hoping to make it to first at least. I run, still barefoot, and make it into first base before the ball comes anywhere near. The next kid kicks and I run to second, where Fitz stands. I watch the next boy kick, but he misses.
"Nice." Fitz mutters.
"Oh, shut up." I say. He smiles and looks around. Our moment ends when the next kid kicks and I have to run to third base. My team won, but it was already time to in.
Fitz comes over that night as it seems he always does. I gave him a key last week and he's definitely used it. He walks in and sits on my couch.
"Hey," I say. He looks over to me. "You okay?"
"There's something I wanted to ask you," He says. I nod and walk over to where he's seated.
"What is it?" I ask, my hands shaking. I'm nervous. He grabs my hands.
"One of my roommates pointed something out." He begins.
"What?" I ask. I feel like he's going to breakup with me.
"This month, I've slept in my apartment four times, and three of those you were there," He says.
"Okay?"
"So, I'm asking if you want to move in together. We practically live together anyway," He says.
"Oh, I totally thought you were going to like breakup with me," I say.
"Do you want to breakup?" He asks.
"No! I want to move in together." I say. He smiles and I pull him into a kiss."So do you want to live here? Or do you want to find a completely new place?" I ask.
"I like living here, but I'd also like to find somewhere with a pool," He says.
"It's December!" I say.
"Yes, but it's not always December," He adds.
"Right...""I say you move in with me for a while and we can look for a new place," I say.
"Sounds like a plan," He says.
"When do you want to move in? It'll just take a day to walk your stuff over, it's not like we'll have to drive anything." I say.
"We can do it this weekend," he says.We decide to go to bed. I check my email before we actually go to sleep. I respond to a few student emails and open one from Dr. Molton.
As you may know, Caldwell High is hosting a Holiday Carnival. All staff will be required to work at least 2 of the 4 hours the carnival is lasting. You will be provided with tee shirts, below is a sign up for sizes and for game spots.
I pass Fitz my computer. He grumbles. He gives it back.
"Sign me up at the same thing as you," He says. I open the documents and enter my name and tee shirt size. I scroll and look at the slots. There's an opening for two people at the hot chocolate stand. I sign up myself and then finish with Fitz's.
I close my laptop and flip over. Fitz scoots closer and spoons me. His arms are wrapped my ribs. He places his head near my shoulder, in my hair. I close my eyes. Just as I'm drifting off, I hear him whisper into my ear.
"I love you," He says.
The next morning I wake up to my alarm, but Fitz is no longer next to me. I stand up and walk into the living room. No Fitz. I check the kitchen. Empty. I open the door to my bathroom. I see Fitz in the shower, naked.
"Good morning," I say.
"Good morning. I wanted to see if we could make this work," He adds.
"Okay, well, I'm going to eat. Don't use all the hot water!" I say. He chuckles. This was the first time he's used my shower, typically when he sleeps over, he'll walk next door and use his own shower. That won't work once he moves in. He walks out of the bathroom, not wearing his shirt yet.
"I smell like Pumpkin Cupcake," He says. I laugh.
"I forgot that was the only soap in there," I apologize.
"Well, I won't be forgetting to bring my own soap next time." He mutters.
"Why? You smell so pretty!!!" I joke.I walk to Courtney's classroom when I get to school. She is already at her desk.
"Hey, what's up?" She asks.
"Fitz asked me to move in with him," I say.
"Girl. You better have said yes." She adds.
"I did, trust me. We already live in the same building, so we're just going to walk the stuff in between apartments this weekend." I say. She stands up and hugs me.
"That is so exciting!!" She says.✿✿✿✿✿
Fitz walks into Marx's room. Marx sits on his director's chair and types into his computer. Fitz walks next to him.
"Do I smell like Pumpkin Cupcake?" Fitz asks Marx.
"A little. Did you have latte?" Marx asks, smelling the air around his coworker.
"No. Gray and I are moving in together and I showered in her bathroom this morning. The only soap options were Pumpkin Cupcake and Sweet Pea, which by the way, had shimmer in it," Fitz says.
"Yikes, I have some cologne, you want to use some?" Marx remarks.
"Do you think it'll be worse or better?" Fitz asks, "Because if I smell like Pumpkin Cupcake with a dash of Polo, that's going to be a problem."Ultimately, Fitz decided to use the cologne.

I sit in my desk and have the girls pull up chairs. I'm really going to miss them next semester.
"You guys going to the carnival?" I ask. They all are.
"Fitz and I are working the hot chocolate booth, you guys should totally buy some." I joke. The carnival was coming up soon. I never knew how much jealousy would be arisen that day.
