Chapter 16

~one month later~

I rolled over in bed and checked the time.  It was only six thirty and I was already wide awake.  I had about an hour until I had to leave for school so I decided to go for a run.  I threw on a pair of black spanx and a sweat shirt.  I walked downstairs and put on my blue nikes then grabbed my ipod and headed outside.

Running always helped me think about whatever was going on.  It had already been a few weeks since my grandparents had left.  The visit was quicker than I had expected.  We did absolutely nothing but just hang out.  I then started to think about the school year.  It was coming to a close already and it flet like it passed by so quick.  In a few weeks summer was going to be here and I had no idea what I was going to be doing. 

My mind started to wander to Nathan.  We hadn’t talked for a few days because he was always so busy and whenever he was free I was busy.  Time was not in our favor but we were making it work.

Getting back home I took a cold shower and slipped into a pair of skinny jeans and a purple vneck shirt.  I went downstairs and Carson, Chace, Chance, and Chris were already eating breakfast.

“Where were you this morning, I was going to wake you up” Chris said with his mouth full of froot loops.

“I went for a run kiddo” I ruffled his hair and then grabbed a chocolate muffin.  Nothing like a well balanced breakfast after a nice run.  We didn’t leave until seven forty five so we were most likely going to be late.

Sitting in my second period class I kept staring at the clock for the class to end.  I had a free period next and I had a lot of homework to catch up on.

“You know staring at the clock doesn’t make the time go by faster” I turned around to see Danny with his childish smirk on his face.

“I don’t know if you know this or not but I’m secretly a jedi.  I have force” I teased him.

“Force is strong with this one” He tried to make his voice like yoda and I couldn’t help but start to laugh.

“Mr. Matthews and Miss Thompson is there something you would like to share with the class” The teacher beamed his question at us and we both shook our heads no. 

During third period I just did homework with Danny and Carson.  I had no idea how smart Danny was.  He helped me finish my homework in record time so I still had some free time to just rest.  I plugged in my ipod and closed my eyes.

“Sleepy head wake up the bell just rung” Carson was shaking me with a small smile on his face.  I forcfully opened my eyes and started to pack up my stuff.

“Did you know you talk in your sleep?” I hadn’t even noticed that Danny was still there until he started to talk.

“What do you mean I talk in my sleep?”

“I mean you kept saying Nathan and then you said my name and you had a huge smile on your face” I could feel my cheeks start to burn and I looked away from him.  I had been dreaming about Nathan coming back and then going to the beach with him.  I kissed him and then when I opened my eyes it was Danny.  I shook the thought out of my mind.

“What ever I’ll see you at lunch” I walked out of the library and to my next class.  Luckily I had it with Meg so we could talk.  I haven’t spent much time with her since Carson and her got together.  I kind of missed my best friend calling me a skank.
