"Casey I love you and everything but you need to get out of bed!" I rolled over slowly sending Meg and death glare. I loved the girl and all but these past couple of days she has been driving me crazy. I was thankful for the fact that Meg, Danny, and Alex had been coming by and eating the loads of ice cream with me this past week when my brothers were all busy with something.
"Meg, like I've told you about a hundred times already you don't have to stay here with me." I hadn't left my room for the past week and my parents were understanding but at the same time I knew they just wanted me to move on. I picked myself up off of my bed and walked into my bathroom ignoring Meg as she opened the curtains to my room allowing unwanted light to shine through.
I gave myself a good look in the mirror. My eyes were puffy and red from all the crying I had been doing while dark circles from lack of sleep appeared too. My hair was a mess and full of tangles. I grimaced at my appearance. How did I allow one guy to do this too me? This was enough, I was going to get ready and get out of my house and forget about Nate. Just like Chad had told me, he is not worth my tears.
I jumped in the shower and stayed in there for a while scrubbing myself clean almost like marking a new start. Getting out I quickly dried off and wrapped my towel around me. I could hear my mom and Meg talking and once in a while I would hear Meg squeal. Walking out of my bathroom they both turned and gave me a huge smile.
"I canʻt believe my eyes. Are you getting out of the house?" My mom said in mock shock. I just rolled my eyes and walked over to my closet where I grabbed a pair of high waisted American flag shorts and a white blouse which I tucked in. I finished it all off with a pair of white vans putting on a little make up and allowing my hair to air dry to its natural waviness.
"Iʻm ready so please get me out of this house!" I announced as I walked out of my closet. My mom clapped her hands together while Meg jumped up and hugged me. "Are you open to doing anything that may be suggested?"
It took me a second to think over her question. Meg asking if I was willing to do anything was a little sketchy but at this point there was no turning back so I nodded my head and she jumped up for joy. Walking downstairs to the living room I was nearly tackled by someone. I turned around to see Chase hugging me tightly.
"I thought you died up there in your room!" He said with a slight sarcastic tone. I laughed a little and pushed him off of me. "What ever little boy, you could have come a visited me." I said pointedly but he just made a face and walked away. I walked over to the couch Meg was sitting on and took a seat next to her.
"Alright, Casey I have HUGE news for you." My mom said trying to look serious but failing due to the smile pulling at the corners of her mouth. I raised an eyebrow at her and turned to Meg who also had a smile tugging at her lips as she tried to hide her happiness.
"Whats going on?
"Well turns out Brooke Davis from Clothes over Broʻs saw the photoʻs of you from my line and she absolutely loved you. She wants you to come in and do a few shots for her." I stared at my mom in amazement. When I did the first photo shoot for my mom it was complete last minute and Iʻm not even a professional. But, this is what I needed. I needed to start something new.
"Iʻll do it." My mom jumped from her seat and tackled me to the ground in excitement. She quickly got off of me dusting herself off. As I was getting up myself I was tackled by Meg.
"DOG PILE!" I could hear Chase scream as he ran over landing on Megʻs back. He was followed by the rest of my brother who were around and I could feel all of my breath being shoved out of me.
