April 22

I was jolted awake by a metallic crash. My eyes flew open to find Adrienne with her eyes wide and a metal tray on the ground. "Your hair!" She pointed at me, frantically.

She shook her head and laughed. "Sorry, you scared me!" She explained and continued to laugh. I groaned and glared at her but my death stare only made her laugh harder.

I ambled slowly over to the vanity, to see what she was talking about, and gasped. My normally greyish-black hair had suddenly turned bright white. I blinked and rubbed my eyes but it didn't change back.

Okay, I'm not crazy.

Then, my eyes changed, usually hazel, but now they were a bright purple hue.

I whipped around to see Ellie giggling, "You look pretty, 'Livia!" Her tiny voice yelled.

I smiled warmly at her while Adrienne said "Looks like your gifts are beginning to manifest, that usually happens when you discover them. Try controlling it."

I nodded and looked back at the mirror. I closed my eyes and tried to focus, when I opened them my hair was fiery red and my eyes were bright green. I looked back at Adrienne, who nodded approvingly.

I smiled as a knock pounded on the door. Standing on the other side was James, the young guy that sat on the sun throne.

He smiled extremely brightly, handed me a piece of paper, and walked away without a word. I glanced down at it to see a small blurb and a list.

I groaned. I have to have a trainer? This is bullshit, I don't remember the last time I worked out and frankly, I don't want to.

"What's the matter, Liv?" Adrienne inquired.

"I have to have a trainer."

She burst out laughing. "That's what you're worried about? Not the fact that you could," She glanced at Ellie, "D-I-E?" She spelled out the word.

I swallowed "Of course I'm worried about... that, but I'm trying to distract myself." She nodded and there was another knock on the door. On the other side stood Estella and Aria.

Adrienne squealed and hugged Aria, "Hey, Mom!"

They hugged until Estella cleared her throat and pointed to the clothing rack she had wheeled in. Aria frowned but nodded while Estella put up a room divider we could change behind.

They pulled Ellie behind the divider first, I could hear her giggles and tiny squeals while they dressed her. She came out the other side with a big smile on her face.

She wore a satin, knee-length, white dress with her caramel blonde hair in a loose bun, and a thin golden circlet wrapped around her head.

I looked at her and smiled while she twirled and laughed. Then, Adrienne walked out from behind the divider.

My jaw dropped as she sashayed in a tea-length, strapless, white gown. She glowed with radiance with her hair braided down her back and she wore a golden circlet that matched Ellie's.
