April 22

I opened my eyes to see Aria and Estella glowering at me. "Get up." Estella ordered.

"Shhhhhh! You're gonna scare Elle!" I whispered angrily. "Start getting A ready, while I wake her up." Aria nodded while Estella rolled her eyes.

I placed my hand on Ellie's back and rubbed it soothingly in a circle, "Sunshine, it's time to wake up..."

She jolted up, and breathlessly asked "Can I put the pink dress on now?!" I laughed and nodded. I was rewarded when she smiled brightly and giggled.

Adrienne tapped my shoulder and, once I turned around, gestured to the dress she was already wearing. "You look positively ravishing, darling." I told her, taking on the worst British accent possible.

She snorted and I couldn't stop laughing. The white chiffon, knee length dress she wore had swirling gold embroidery at the waist. The same golden circlet she wore earlier adorned her platinum blonde waves.

I turned around to see Ellie crying and Estella trying to calm her. "What's the matter?"

She continued to sob while saying "S-S-Stella said-d I can't w-wear t-t-the pin-k dres-s-s-s!"

I hugged her close to me and looked at Estella, "Why not?" I asked with an unintentional edge in my voice.

Aria slinked over and said sweetly, "For meals, we are supposed to dress you in all in white, but," she crouched down to Ellie's height, "I promise that you'll get to wear it for your lessons!"

This earned a smile from both, Ellie and I. Ellie giggled and told Aria, "You look like a princess!"

Aria pulled her into a hug and whispered, "But my dear, you'll look like a queen."

Estella extended her hand to Ellie and she took it eagerly. Aria, however, pulled me towards the marble vanity and started to pull at my hair. She had finished in almost no time at all. My hair was twisted into a severe bun at the nape of my neck and my makeup was done.

I smiled down at Ellie. She was sitting on the floor in a simple, white taffeta dress. The hem fell at her mid-shin and the wide skirt made her look smaller than she already was. Shimmery gold tulle was wrapped around her waist and I almost cringed at the thought of having to wash the gold glitter out of the crisp white fabric.

Estella shoved me behind a room divider and into a body-con, tea length dress with a sweetheart neckline. Aria placed my golden circlet from earlier on my head. I almost started happy dancing when Estella knocked a pair of gold stilettos from my hands and handed me a pair of ballet flats

We all walked down the long, cream colored hallway until we reached a set of black and gold doors. The stark contrast in the room decor made me want to stop and marvel. Though the doors were different than anything I'd seen so far, they were beautiful in their own right.

Then, the doors opened.

Holy shit.

An enormous, black marble dining table sat in the dead center of the room. Above it, was an even bigger chandelier. Each individual crystal helped to spread the soft light that the gorgeous monstrosity emitted.

I breathed deeply when I smelled a barely familiar scent, lemongrass and musk. I smiled and closed my eyes to take it in.

A large hand fell lightly on my shoulder while a masculine voice asked "Beautiful isn't it?" I nodded and turned slowly around to see him.
