July 6
He rapidly blinked at me and asked, "Did you say pregnancy test?"
My breath caught and tears stung my eyes. I turned away from him and whispered so quietly I could barely hear myself, "Yeah, uhh... I'm pregnant."
He immediately asked, "What'd you say, babe? I couldn't hear you."
I tried to swallow the lump in my throat and spoke again, only slightly louder this time. "I'm pregnant."
I turned back around to meet his eyes, only to find an enormous smile across his face. "R-Really?" He asked hopefully. I nodded quickly and he pulled me into a tight hug. "That's amazing!" He whispered in my ear.
He pulled away and kissed me. A small smile tugged at my lips when he dropped to his knees and kissed my stomach. "I love you so much, Olivia." I sighed happily. He pulled me into another hug and we swayed back and forth together.
We just stood there, swaying, until we heard the door swing open and a small squeal. I looked at the door to see Ellie and Calliope. Ellie ran into my arms, almost knocking me over. I smiled brightly when I saw she was wearing the yellow dress I got her for her birthday.
Calliope saw me eyeing it and said, "She was very adamant on wearing that one!" I smiled proudly.
I took on a tone of disbelief and asked Ellie, "Did you wear this for me?" She nodded profusely and I hugged her tighter.
"Careful Elle, she hasn't regained all her strength yet, okay?" Henry scolded gently and I glared at him.
"I'm fine!" I told him and he laughed.
"He's right, Liv. You're stitches only came out this morning." Calliope interjected.
"Whatever." I whispered into Ellie's hair.
I held her close to me while she whispered back, "I missed you so much, 'Livia. Why couldn't I come see you?" Her voice broke when she asked the question.
A tear ran down my face. "I just had an accident, Elle, that's all. I just looked a little scary with my stitches, and we didn't want to scare you." I told her and she nodded, tucking her head back under my chin.
She sat in my lap, hugging me, until she fell asleep. When Calliope approached me to take her, I waved her away, "I've got her, don't worry about it. Take the rest of the night off." She nodded cautiously but left.
I slipped into Ellie's room and carefully tucked her in, she stirred for a moment but quickly returned to her peaceful state. I walked back and quietly closed her door behind me. I walked back to Henry, who was sitting on my bed.
I sat beside him but he quickly pulled me into his lap and hugged me closely. "I love you so much, you know that right?" He whispered into my hair.
I pulled away and said, "How could I forget? You tell me all the time."
I laughed but he frowned, "I mean it, Olivia. You're my world." He told me.
I smiled softly at him, "And you're mine." I said and pressed my forehead to his.
When I realized what I was doing I scrambled off him. "What's wrong, babe?"
My breathing quickened, "Are you s-sure about all this?" I gestured at my stomach, "Because I get it if you're not..."
He shook his head, "Why wouldn't I be?" He asked in disbelief.
"I mean, just the things you said before, I know you may have been angry but the-the things you told me..."
