August 17

"Get up, bitch! It's Judgement Day!" Adrienne screamed in my ear.

"Liar. Judgement Day isn't until September first!" I mumbled groggily as I tried to fall back asleep.

Soft lips kissed my ear and a masculine voice whispered, "Sorry babe, it got moved up." I shivered at Henry's action and giggled.

"Ugh! You two are worse than Romeo and Juliet..." Adrienne bellowed.

"Shut the hell up! It's too early for this shit." I complained and Henry chuckled quietly. I felt Adrienne's small hands on my sides as she pushed me off the bed.

"Bitch!" I mumbled loudly as I rubbed my now-sore tailbone. I glanced at Henry, who was howling in laughter, and scowled at him.

He pulled me up and dragged me into the center of our room, where Aria and Estella were already waiting. "I missed you guys so much!" I squealed and stumbled into Aria's embrace, and then into Estella's.

"We missed you two!" They told me simultaneously, making me beam at them. We group-hugged until minutes later when Henry cleared his throat, gesturing toward the clothing rack.

There were multiple dress bags, and I studied my friends faces as they unzipped and then re-zipped each of them. After awhile, Aria stood up straight and said, "All of these are awful!" Estella chuckled and walked into my closet.

"This one!" She yelled from within the confines of my closet. She walked out proudly holding a beautiful short white dress. It was simple but elegant with a flowy skirt and spaghetti straps with a tasteful amount of cleavage.

Once I was zipped into it, Estella pulled a thick, gold satin ribbon from one of the other dresses and tied it around my waist

Once I was zipped into it, Estella pulled a thick, gold satin ribbon from one of the other dresses and tied it around my waist. Once Estella had made sure the knot was secure, Aria pushed me towards the vanity and began to tug at my hair.

Once she had finished, a severe bun was secured at the nape of my neck and my makeup was done to perfection.

Henry took my hand and led me to the ballroom where we first met. I smiled up at him as the doors opened to reveal The Council sitting in their respective thrones. Henry kissed my cheek and walked up to sit in his simple obsidian throne.

I almost laughed when I saw that Calliope was handcuffed to her throne.

I sat down on the little stool that I'd been provided and glanced up at Calliope, who was slouching in her diamond throne with a pout on her lips. I smirked up at her and sent her a thought.

'I win, bitch.'

Her pout deepened and a genuine smile teased my lips when I looked up at Henry, whom I also sent a thought.

'I love you, no matter what babe.'

The message he sent back made my smile widen.

'Kicking and screaming?'
