"Long time no see." Austin greeted me.
"Hello there." I laughed as I fell into his arms for a hug.
I had contacted him from my mom's phone and asked him to meet with me at the park. I needed a break from being locked up at the house, and for the first time in forever Diego didn't have to join me because my mom and his mom were back at home.
I sighed as I sat down on the bench, "Bro so much has been going on."
"Let's just start with the part where you don't have a phone." Austin suggested.
"Well you remember how I told you that my mom had her friend to come out and live with us." I began, "Well her fucking son is a pain in the ass and he gets drunk, and when you called me he threw my damn phone in the sink and let it got all wet." I gave a big sigh when I finished and put my head down in my lap.
"Woah just calm down, everything is gonna be fine." Austin said as he pulled me into a hug, "I'll get some extra money from my job and I'll buy you a phone, a good one."
"Austin no you-"
"Shh just be quiet." He smirked while still holding me close.
And for once Austin looked different to me....I didn't see him as Austin my best friend....but no it was something else. The way his skin glowed and his bright smile. I couldn't help myself in the moment.
I placed my hand on his cheek and leaned in towards him, planting a kiss on his lips that he didn't reject. Instead he pulled me closer deepening the kiss.
"You don't know how long I've waited for that." He spoke as the kiss was broken and he held his forehead against mine.
Shocked at what had just happened I hopped up, "Um I- I gotta go."
Rushing towards my car in complete confusion, hearing Austin calling my name but still keeping my head forward.
-
When I pulled up at home I sat in the driveway for a moment taking a breath then running my fingers through my hair. I felt bad for leaving Austin like that but I didn't know what to do after kissing him and hearing that, I was so confused.
When I got out the car my ears were hit with loud rap music and laughing.
"Oh hell no." I mumbled.
I stumbled into the house to see Diego and not only his friends but some girls as well. One in particular laying in his lap making out with him.
I slammed my keys down on the table by the door and turned off the speaker.
"DIEGO WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.
"Ouu you in trouble, yah girl's home." One of his clearly drunk friends laughed.
"Your girl?" The girl in his lap stood up, "I'm out." She said as she stormed out the door bringing her friends with her, "Oh and we hooked up in your room." The girl spatted out.
I whipped around with my eyes nearly bulging out of my head and just as I was about to grip her by her hair and drag her off the porch Diego got up and yanked me towards him, with the smell of alcohol loud on him.
"Chill out." He said.
"You think this shit is a fucking game Diego! Do you really?" I mushed him in the face pushing him off of me.
"Aye chill the fuck out!" He staggered trying to keep his balance.
His friends had already bolted out the door with the girls, leaving only Diego and I here alone.
"Something is fucking wrong with you! I can't continue to do this shit." I yelled. "In my fucking room really!"
"Its not even that damn deep oh my gosh." He facepalmed.
"Its not that deep! You know what fuck you Diego when your mom gets home I'm telling her everything!" I stormed off towards the steps.
"And clean that shit up!" I said before slamming my door.
I sat on the comfortable chair that was placed in the corner of my room I felt out of breath and clearly out of words. I couldn't explain how much I couldn't stand Diego and how much I wanted him gone. I knew this was a bad idea....
-
After taking a nap I awoke and went downstairs to wash my bed sheets. The living room still looked the same and I noticed my keys on the table were gone.
I dropped the sheets amd raced out the front door, just in time it seems because Diego was pulling up with my car. I eyed the destruction that he had caused carefully. My bumper was falling off and the headlight was hanging on for dear life, while the dent in the hood set apart the whole look of destruction.
I ran down the steps and slammed my hand on the hood, "WHAT THE FUCK!" I shouted looking at him directly in the eyes.
He got out the car seeming to be shook, "I'm sorry bro." He said with his head down.
I broke down to my knees crying hysterically, "You're ruining everything, why the hell did you even come here everything was fine before you came!" I shouted and ran back into the house.
I placed my head on the couch and let it take all of my tears. I couldn't continue to live like this. Diego had only been here for a few days and he was already ruining my life.
*Ring Ring*
The house phone sounded off. I checked the caller ID and saw my mother's number. I straightened my face and prepared to hold back my sniffles as I picked up on the their ring.
"Hey mom." I said trying to sound normal.
"Hey Cass, is everything okay?" She questioned.
"Um yeah everything's fine." I lied.
"Great well I'm on my way make sure the house is in order I don't wanna have to do any cleaning its been a long day."
"Yes ma'am." I replied.
"Bye honey, love you." She said.
"Love you too."
I hung up the phone and gave a huge sigh. I eyed the living room and looked at the mess. Diego had caused some grave destruction in such a small bit of time. Great.....just great......
