If You Only Knew

Chapter 4

Devon's POV 

The people who've met me know that I'm the type of person who doesn't stop talking. So sitting in Kiko's car in silence was a little unsettling. 

I don't know what exactly happened. We were just talking about our movie and then all of a sudden he shut off, and the mood became tense. 

"Kiko, may sinabi ba ako?" I asked him, trying to end the awkwardness. 

It took him a few seconds to reply. "Sorry, did you say something?"

I could feel the anger start to bubble up inside of me. I don't understand why he's being so cold to me. "Kung ayo mo sana akong sumama sa yo, dapit sinabi mo na lang. I could've gotten another ride."

"Huh, bakit mo naman iniisp yan? Of course I don't mind you riding with me," he replied, his voice full of confusion. 

"Eh bakit ang tahimik mo diyan? Nag uusap tayo ng maayos, tapos bigla ka na lang nag tigil ng pagsalita."

He sighed. "Devs, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to act so cold around you. I just have a lot of things on my mind right now." He stopped at a red traffic light and turned to look at me, "Forgive me, please?"

Him and his classic dimpled smile, how could I not forgive him?

"Swerte mo na cute ka," I laughed as I softly pinched his cheeks. 

"Ouch Devy! Ang sakit naman ng kurot mo," he exclaimed, feigning hurt. 

I rolled my eyes at him. "Ang OA mo, alam mo yan?"

"Ang sakit kaya!"

I played a long with his dramatic tendencies. "Oh sige, anong gusto mong gawin ko to make it better?"

"Well you could kiss my cheek. Siguro pag ginawa mo yun, mawawala ang sakit," he smirked as he winked at me. 

I laughed at his joke and hit his arm with my so called metal hands. "Sira ka talaga, alam mo yan?"

When we arrived at the restaurant, the whole gang was already there waiting for us. Kisses texted to tell me that we were able to get a private room from prying eyes and to enter through the back door so we wouldn't get noticed. Elmo was the first one to see that we were there. 

"Ayan na ang Devki!" shouted Elmo, announcing to the whole room that Kiko and I were there.

Honestly, our team up came as a big surprise for me. I mean I've been paired up with a lot of guys before but a lot of the times they didn't really last that long. After whatever show we were in was done, we kind of lost contact. 

That situation was kind of similar with Kiko and I when we finished with Pwera Usog. We didn't see or talk to each other as much as we did. But then Wal Wal came along and it was another opportunity for us to work together. And I'm glad that we did. I forgot how much fun it was working with him. He's a fun and easygoing guy and he never fails to make me laugh. I honestly hope that we get another chance to work with each other again after this movie is done. Otherwise I don't know if we'd ever get time to see each other again, and I liked hanging out with him. He was a good friend to me, and in this industry, it's really hard to know who your true friends are. 

"Bakit ang tagal nyo? Nag stop over ba kayo somewhere," teased Jerome.

Kiko went up to him and slapped his back, "No dude! It was just traffic okay?"

"Okay, if you say so," chuckled Jerome.

I went over to everyone and gave them a kiss on the cheek as I went to sit down in my chair which was next to Kiko's. 

As I sat down, he leaned over and whispered in my ear. "So they got a kiss on the cheek for nothing at ako wala kahit sinaktan mo ako?"

Naturally I lightly pushed like I always did and giggled. "Tumahimik ka nga diyan! Kung ano-ano pinagsasabi mo," I whispered back. 

"Hoy, kayong dalawa diyan. What are you whispering about?" Kisses said to us teasingly. 

I couldn't help but blush even though I knew we didn't talk about anything embarrassing. "Wala, Kiko is just being annoying as usual."

"Ouch, ang mean mo naman sa akin Devs. Hindi na kita gusto." As Kiko was talking, he pretended to wipe fake tears from his face. 

"Well you know what they say, the more you hate the more love," added Donny. 

Now it was Kiko's turn to blush.

All of a sudden a large "Ow" came from Donny's mouth. 

"Are you okay? What happened?" asked Kisses. 

"Sinipa ako ni Kiko eh," whined Donny. 

"Huh? Bakit?" 

"Kasi, ayaw nya ma reveal yung secret nya," laughed Elmo. 

I was curious. "Anong secreto nya?"

Before anyone could say anything, Kiko interrupted. "Wala, nag bibiro lang yan sila. Wala akong secreto."

Everyone else in the room laughed, like they were a part of something I wasn't aware of and I really wanted to know. 

I wonder what your secret is Kiko and why you won't tell me.
