If You Only Knew

Chapter 6

Devon's POV

I felt a gentle touch on my shoulder that woke me from me from the sleeping state I was in. I opened my eyes and I came face-to-face with Kisses' bright and smiley face.

I was definitely not a morning person. 

When Kisses called me at 6:30 am to ask if I wanted to come with them to the beach, I wanted to say no. But it was hard to say no to her when she asked in that sweet voice of her so I reluctantly gave in. 

The last thing I remember before going to sleep was that we were talking about the boys and I faintly recall her constantly talking about Donny. Now I'm no psychic or anything, but even I can tell she has a crush on him. 

"Ate Devon, gising na. Nandito na tayo," she said. 

I lightly groaned, trying to wake myself up. I rubbed my eyes to get rid of the sleep and I told her I'd be out in a second. It took me a few minutes to gather my things. I tied my hair up in a pony tail to get it out of my face and I put my sunglasses on. I grabbed my bag and made sure that everything was inside. And when I was satisfied with myself, I opened my door and slowly got out of the car. 

The first thing I heard was Janella's voice calling out to me. "Devs, over here!"

I gave her a huge smile and I walked over to her and giver her a hug. "Matagal na tayo hindi nag kita ah," I said to Janella.

"Ikaw naman kasi eh, hindi ka naman nag paalam sa amin. You transferring networks was a shock," she replied. 

"Sorry ha, ang bilis ng transition. Wala ng time."

"Hindi, okay lang. At least mag kasama kayo ni Kiko," she winked. I just laughed and shook my head at her teasing. 

I was about to greet everyone else when I felt a pair of hands wrap themselves around my eyes, blocking my view. 

"Guess who?" asked a voice I was all too familiar with, but I still decided to play along.

"Si Zac Efron ba to?" 

"Mas gwapo kaya ako kay Zac Efron," he replied in an annoyed tone. 

I giggled. "Joke lang! Alam ko naman ikaw yan Kiko eh." And with that, he dropped his hands from my eyes and I turned around. I was met with the pouting face of Kiko Estrada. I rolled my eyes at him. "Hoy ikaw, wag ka na mag tampo diyan. Sige ka, if you keep frowning hindi ka na gwapo," I teased as I pinched his cheeks.

As soon as I pinched his cheeks, he gave me a full blown smile; his smile was so wide that even his dimple came out. That dimple, was one of my favourite things about him. "Devy, I'll only forgive you if you give me a really big hug right now," he said with a smirk. 

"Sige na nga!" I decided to humor him. I wrapped my arms around his body and leaned my head into his chest. It felt nice. Being around him always made me happy. I couldn't explain our relationship even if I tried. I just knew that I like being around him. I knew he was a friend that I could always depend on. 

"Guys, parang dumami yung mga langam dito!" exclaimed Donny.

"Paano, yung Devki kasi sobrang sweet sa isat-isa," added Elmo. 

"I wonder what my caption should be for the photo I took of you two?" asked Kisses as she held up her phone to us. 

"Huh, anong photo?" I questioned her as Kiko and I walked over. 

Kisses gave me her phone. "This pic. Ang cute niyo talaga! As in bagay kayo. This picture proves it."

Both Kiko and I looked down at her phone to analyse the photo. It was a picture of us hugging. My arms were wound tightly around him, and my face was buried in his chest. Kiko's arms were also enveloping me but his chin rested on the top of my head and he had the biggest smile on his face. Everyone else came and gathered around.
