"Wait... are you serious?" Josh sounded a little unnerved at first.
"Yeah, they want us to go play for them this weekend."
"You mean like, two days from now this weekend?" Jenna asked.
"Yeah." We all stood in disbelief. "They said that they will pay for airfare and the hotel, all we have to do is show up and preform. They also said that we can each bring a plus one." I glanced at Jenna and saw a glimmer of happiness shine on her face.
"You all should go." Jenna smiled.
"O-okay... lets do it." Josh smiled.
"Sweet. They said to text a guy named Pete for more details, they gave me his number. I sent a text to the number "Hey is this Pete from Fueled By Ramen?"
Pete: Yes, it this Tyler Joseph?
Tyler: Yes, it is.
Pete: Sick, okay, here's the deal.
We continued to text and he gave me all the details, he seemed like a nice dude too. Then I came up with a great idea that I ran by him... he said he'd definitely figure something out.
"Okay guys, so we need to be at John Glenn Columbus International Airport at 7:00 a.m. on Friday. Our plane leaves at 8:00 and Pete said to be an hour early, so we should leave around 6:00. We fly down to Tulsa International Airport in Oklahoma and have a flight at 1:00 p.m. to land in Bakersfield Municipal Airport and Pete will send a car to pick us up to drive us to LA."
"Okay. Sounds awesome." Josh said.
Friday
I rolled out of bed at 5:30, I hadn't gotten any sleep the past two days. I was exhausted but my anxiety and insomnia kept me up. I groaned as I stood up out of the bed, my knees and back popped like usual as my posture straightened. I got in the shower and let the warm water cover my face as I faced the water. I got out and wrapped my towel around my hips, I brushed my teeth and ran my fingers through my hair. I walked back to my room and put on black joggers and a grey sweatshirt. I grabbed my charger and threw it in my backpack then grabbed my suitcase and took it to the living room. "Josh, are you ready?" I yelled through the house.
"Yeah." He walked in to the living room with his bags.
"Alright, lets go get Jenna. Our Uber is here so if you want to go ahead and take your stuff down, I'll get her and help her with her stuff."
"Okay. I'll see you guys down there." We walked out the door and I locked it, sliding the key under our welcome mat since Maddie would be house sitting for us. I knocked on Jenna's door and heard footsteps walking towards it. She opened the door and she looked cute as heck. She had on a pink baggy sweatshirt and black leggings and black converse, she had her hair up in a messy bun and had on some light pink lipgloss, she looked perfect.
"Tyler, are you okay?" She looked at me concerned.
"Y-yeah why?" I asked.
"You look sick."
"No, I'm great. It's just a little to early for me is all." I smiled at her.
"Okay. Let me grab my bags." She walked away from the door. Jenna was always a morning person, but she was also a night owl, I loved that about her. "Okay, I'm ready." She smiled.
"I'll take this." I grabbed one of her two suit cases.
"Thanks sweet." She kissed my cheek. We walked downstairs and loaded our bags into the car. Josh was already in the backseat of the car so Jenna sat in the middle and I sat beside her. The three of us sat together in the back row, like children.
