Cinderella

I wake up to the sharp sounds of chirping in my ears. My eyes open to see the chandelier hanging from the ornate, domed ceiling. I can feel the hard, cold, marble floors against my head.

"Wh-what happened?" I say groggily as I try to lift myself to my feet. In the end, I can't but I end up in a siting position.

That's when I see what happened...

I can't even make a sound. I can't even... 'No... I won't believe it! Marius... I trusted you... Please... don't be true. You can't have done this to me!'

Tears start rolling down my cheeks as I begin to think that Marius did this. He couldn't have... He couldn't have... I pull my legs into my stomach and He wouldn't have done this to me. He knew how much I wanted to go... He knew how much I care... for him...

"Oh, it's okay deary. Don't cry." I heard a soft, sweet voice ask. But I'm all alone... I look up.

"See, wipe those tears away from your beautiful face." She helps me to my feet and surprisingly, I manage to stay on my feet.

"Cinderella?" She asks while looking at me.

"Who are you?" I ask as I wipe the tears from my red eyes.

"I'm your fairy godmother." Um... You are my what?

"Your so beautiful, fairy godmother." I say while looking at her. Her hair is a glistening light pink and she's wearing a dress that looks of the universe in all it's glory.

"I'm made of all of your most beautiful hopes, dreams and wishes." She says in a youthful smile.

"Fairy godmother, I have only one wish.... to go to the ball.... but, I know it is impossible." I say slowly. A single tear falls from my eye.

"Impossible? Nothing's impossible. If it was, what's a fairy godmother for?" She asks trying to cheer me up.

"To make my wish come true?" I ask. She gives me the 'No duh' stare.

"If you truely desire it. Now, you'll need a carriage, four horses, a coachman and a groom." She says thinking outloud.

"Is it possible to get those things by wishing for them?" I ask kind of on the fence about this whole thing.

"Not always. Now to work! For a coach... I believe that pumpkin over there; Yes, it will do very nicely." She points. I follow her finger to see a small pumpkin in the field.

"A pumpkin?" I ask rolling my eyes a little bit. Then I see this pumpkin start to grow and move until it forms a beautiful golden carriage.

"Yes. You don't happen to have any mice, do you?" She asks looking back at me.

"Mice? For horses?" I ask in curiosity. 'How will that work?'

"Yes." I shake my head no but before she sees me, she finds some mice running along the floor. Looks like another hole I need to fix. We go outside and watch as the mice turn to beautiful Chandler hoarses.

"Now, let me see..." She looks all over then stops at one of the bushes."Something's peering at us from under that shrub... and... it's a fine fat rat and his brother! They'll do very nicely for the coachman and the groom." She says enthusiastically as she turns them into the beautiful coachman and groom.

"Oh, Fairy Godmother! This seems impossible!" I say in shock. She turns around to me.

"Impossible. For a plain yellow pumpkin to become a golden carriage?
Impossible. For a plain country bumpkin and a prince to join in
marriage.
And four white mice will never be four white hoarses!
Such fol-der-ol and fid-dle-dy dee of course, is--- Impossible!
But the world is full of zanies and fools.
Who don't believe in sensible rules,
And won't believe what sensible people say.
And because these daft and dewey-eyed dopes keep building up impossible
hopes,
Impossible things are happening every day."

I watch her sing this; she makes perfect sense in this madness.

"Impossible!" I sing.

"Impossible!" She replies.

"Impossible?" I sing and ask.

"Impossible!" She replies.

"Impossible!" I sing in disbelief that any of this is inpossible now.

"Impossible!"

"Impossible!!!" We both sing.

"Now. Off to the ball or you'll never dance with the prince." She says trying to push me into the carriage.

"Um... Fairy Godmother... My dress?" She looks over me and she jumps back.

"Oh my dear! You can't go in that. I'll think of something... I got it." She says. With the swing of her hand, my torn red dress turns white; my ripped sleeves dissolve and my arms became exposed. A beautiful long, light pink and black striped ribbon forms around my neck and a flower laced hat forms on my hair...

"MY HAIR!" I scream.

"What's wrong dear?" Fairy Godmother asks.

"My hair..." She interrupts me.

"Is beautiful." She creates a mirror and shows me. I nod slowly as I mess with the hat. I see small, little, white hand gloves form and 2 small diamond strands attach to the ribbon and fall over my shoulders.

The mirror becomes full length and I can see the entirety of the magic. "Oh, Godmother... It's beautiful."

"Yes... but before you leave I must warn you. As dreams are beautiful and full of magic, all dreams must end." I look at her and nod.

"I know." I say happily.

"No, at the stroke of Mignight, the spell will be broken and you will return to your previous state." I walk and hug her.

"I know Fairy Godmother... It's just...  It's more than I could hope for." I start walking to the carriage. After closing the carriage door. I start waving and she waves back at me.

The carriage starts... and I start to sing.

"It's Possible! For a plain yellow pumpkin to become a golden carriage!
It's Possible! For a plain country bumpkin and a prince to join in
marriage!"

I can hear Fairy Godmother singing but where.

"And four white mice are easily turned to horses!
Such fol-der-ol and fid-dle-dy dee of course, is
Quite Possible! It's possible! "

"For the world is full of zanies and fools." I sing as I look out the window.

"Who don't believe in sensible rules." I see her outside the window and I reach out my hand. She takes it.

"And won't believe what sensible people say." I sing smiling at her.

"And because these daft and dewey-eyed dopes keep building up Impossible
hopes.
Impossible things are happening every day!" I can see from out the window that we are turning up into the town.

"It's Possible!"

"It's Possible!" She magically appears sitting next to me.

I'm surprised to still see her but I smile. "It's Possible!"

"It's Possible!" She points to my glass shoes.

"It's Possible?" I ask.

"It's Possible!" She replies.

"It's Poss-i-ble!" I watch as she leaves the carriage and becomes beautiful explosions in the sky.

I continue looking out the window as we get closer to the palace. I can feel my heart racing in excitement but... something isn't sitting right. I need to find Marius at the ball!
