Chapter 36

Catrina's POV

"Where did this random burst of energy come from?" Jaxson laughs as I practically drag him to the pool. I shrug as I use my key card to unlock the door. When I do, I push it open and practically run to a table to set my stuff down. I then walk over to the hot tub and climb in. No one was in the pool which was really nice. Jaxson joins me. We stay in the hot tub for a few hours, not wanting to move because of how relaxing it was. We only get out because we're forced to.

"You're not getting this back," I smile as I pull on Jaxson's hoodie. He rolls his eyes playfully.

"Then you have to give me something of yours," He smiles.

"Nothing of mine would fit you," I giggle. He shrugs as he says, "I never said it had to be clothing." I smile as I catch on to what he's talking about. I wrap my arms around his neck before placing my lips on his. He smiles into the kiss. I end up pulling away from laughing. He gives me a confused look and I just shake my head. Honestly, I don't even know why I'm laughing, I just am. He laughs at me as he grabs my hand and pulls me into the elevator.

"Why were you laughing?" He asks.

"I was imagining you in one of my shirts," I giggle. He rolls his eyes playfully making me laugh even more. It gets to the point where I'm having trouble breathing.

"It couldn't have been that funny," Jaxson laughs as he tries to calm me down. It takes a while, but I finally stop laughing. I wipe my wet cheeks with the back of my hand.

"I'm sorry," I say as a small giggle leaves my lips.

"No. Don't start again," Jaxson laughs as the elevator doors open. We walk into my room to find my mother and sisters back and watching TV.

"So is there something you want to tell us about the two of you," My mother asks as she points her finger at me and Jaxson. I giggle as I cuddle into Jax's side. "Should I be concerned?" She smiles.
"Am I not allowed a boyfriend?" I ask. Annie and Hayley both squeal at my comment.
"I KNEW IT!" Annie smiles as she does a little victory dance.
"No one outside of us can know. I don't need to get hate for moving on so fast," I mumble pointing my finger at Annie and Hayley. They nod with a sweet smile.
"You should say good night you both have a long day ahead of you tomorrow," my mom says as she eyed us.
"I'll walk him to his room," I smile, taking his hand and walking with him out the door.
"I love your family," He smiles. I giggle.
" you would have loved Caleb." My smile is weak as the words fall off my tongue. Sometimes I forget he's not here. I try to convince myself that he's at a friends house or he's just away. It keeps me going to think of him anywhere else but in the grave. A pair of arms wrap around me and a kiss is placed to my forehead. I feel a tear hit my cheek as I wrap my arms around Jaxson.
He whispers sweet things as he rubs his hand up and down my back. After a while I pull away and thank him. He nods as he wipes the tears from my cheeks.
Not wanting to stay in the same spot and cry some more, I take his hand and start walking the rest of the way to his room. When we get to it, he hugs me and kisses me softly.
"See you tomorrow," He smiles as he unlocks his door.
"See you tomorrow," I giggle hugging him one last time. I wave goodbye before making my way back to the room. I find almost everyone already sleeping when I get inside. I kiss my mother, the only one up, goodnight before crawling into the bed I made on the floor. I put my phone on charge before resting my head on my pillow and falling asleep.
