Cat's POV
Jaxson just nods and runs a hand through his hair. I want to question him, but I don't. He looked scared as we continued walking.
It's too soon? Really? How could you be so stupid? It's not like you didn't feel anything when he kissed you. You can't deny your feelings. Stop trying to.
"Hey, Jax?" I ask, looking at him as the hotel came into view. His eyes meet mine but he doesn't say anything. He seemed scared.
"Why did you kiss me?" I whisper as I look down at my fingers as they fiddled with each other. He stops walking and takes in a deep breath before walking again.
"Because I like you? Because I wanted to?" He sighs. Then he continues. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you... or ruin our friendshi-" I cut him off by placing my lips on his.
I usually never listen to my conscious... but she seemed right on this. It seemed like I should just move on. Jaxson wasn't ugly. It's not like I didn't at least have a little crush on him. I do.. I think?
