"Liz!" Nathan's voice called from a distance. I reluctantly peeled my eyes away from the beautiful stranger standing across me. He seems oddly familiar to me. I could feel his piercing gaze drinking me in.

"Nathan, I didn't know you work today," I replied as he walked towards me, I turned back around to the man but he was already exiting the aisle.

"Yeah I've been avoiding Katie," he rubbed his neck nervously, avoiding eye contact.

"Nathan,"

"I know. How is she?"

"She was upset because of the break and now she can't contact you,"

"I'm still lost, Liz. I'm really trying."

"I understand. She was screaming this morning by the way,"

"Lizard?" I nodded as we started laughing about Katie's fear of anything smaller than her.

"Who was that? You guys were staring at each other pretty intensely. I thought you needed me to interfere or something,"

"On the day I saw you outside the campus," I started as he shifts in his position uncomfortably, "I didn't see my soulmate or rather I didn't pay attention enough."

"So you're saying you missed your meeting?"

"I did!"

"Then that was -,"

"I don't know, my wrist started burning and he was staring at his too. We just both turned around and -,"

"Did I just interrupt you both?"

"I think so, but I will meet him again since we are soulmates, hopefully."

"Sorry Liz. Do you want me to cash you out?"

"I think I'll do self check out, I still have tons to get. I'll see you on Friday though?"

"Of course you will, I need to grow some balls and face Katie eventually." I gave him and side hug and agreed with him. He did need to grow a pair soon, my birthday was coming.

He bid me farewell as he started walking towards the registers up in the front. I carried on looking for the chocolate bar I wanted to try and then made a mental note not to forget the spices and sauces for the dinner I was planning. Of course, the blue eyed stranger still lingered around my mind. I couldn't stop thinking about how beautiful his eyes were. I proceeded with the my errands and checked out my items myself, putting the items into my reusable bag. I made sure the heavy items were at the bottom and the vegetables were on top. Mom gave me extra money this month for this dinner I planned, since I lost my part time job teaching Lily, I decided to use some of my allowance for once.

After paying for all the items, I carried two bags on both of my shoulders and was carrying another in my hand. I struggled to get to the parking lot and tried to open my trunk the best that I can. Pengu Mart was about a fifteen minute drive from the dorms and since it's a Sunday, there will probably be traffic on the main road. I turned on the music as I drove out of the parking space and exited the lot. Ruth B. started playing on the radio, she was singing one of the new songs I came across.

If this is loooove

Why does it break me dooown

Why do you break me down

If this is love

Why does it break me down

Why do you break me down

Kiss me now

And remind me why

Why ever wanted to make you mine

After a few songs, my all time favourite song started play; All About Us by He Is We and I got ready to sing along.

The room's hush hush

And now is our moment

Take it in

Feel it all

And hold it

Eyes on you

Eyes on me

We're doin' this right

'Cause lovers dance when they're feelin' in love

Spotlight's shinin' it's all about us

It's all about us

And every heart in the room will melt

This is a feeling I've never felt but

It's all about us

I stayed in the car to finish the song. To be honest, I can just listen to the song anytime but I'd rather stay in the car a little bit more. Once the song ended, I turned off the engine and hopped out of the car to grab the bags. Katie was probably out with her other girlfriends or still sleeping, Sunday was her fun day. Since Nathan have been avoiding her, she's been trying to forget him. I could have done two trips to the dorm but I wasn't going to waste my time going back to the ground level just to get the last bag. I was going to struggle because I was a strong woman anyway. It doesn't make sense, I know.

I was in my kitchen now, after half an hour of putting the items away, I could finally get started on lunch. I took the salmon out of the chiller and washed it. After I seasoned it with salt and pepper, I placed it on the baking sheet sheet and popped it into the oven. I chopped up some tomatoes and onions and threw it in in a pan to heat it up and then added two bags of spinach into the mix. Usually I cook rice on Sunday, I just didn't feel like doing it that's all.

When I didn't get a reply from Katie, I decided to have some lunch and carry on with my day. Today was pretty slow because I already completed my school work yesterday morning. To treat myself, I decided to binge watch the series I missed out on the past few weeks.

A/N: I attached the first song to the chapter! It's a short one but I will write more in the next chapter :) do comment and vote, it means a lot to me. Thank you 😚😚
