Adam

I sprayed some cologne on my before heading to out to the driveway when I realized I didnt have my wallet with me.

"Come now dear, we have to go." Phoebe called after me as I looked around the couch for my wallet. I've been sleeping on the couch for the last six days. I didn't mind at all, Phoebe had been so accommodating but I refused to sleep on her bed because she already struggled getting some sleep on her bed. I doubt she will even get a wink of sleep on the couch. After locating my wallet, I slid into my back pocket and followed Phoebe's voice. I tried to call her grandma a few time but it willwill take some getting used to. She was standing outside with her small purse, her flower clip holding some of her hair at the side.

I locked up behind us and we started walking to the driveway. After reaching the dorms of Penguinne University, Phoebe turned to me with widened eyes.

"Elizabeth's gift! I left it on the counter!" I sighed and reassured her that I will go and get it. She kissed my cheeks and alighted the car.

"Adam, their dorm is on the fifth floor and door twenty."

"Okay I got it,"

"I'm sorry... I'm getting old, I keep forgetting,"

"Gramm, it's fine. Don't worry about it," I smiled warmly at her and watched her enter the gates before driving off.

She changed a lot over the years and the time that passed shows on her face and skin. She wasn't as strong as before and she was much slower now. The Phoebe I knew then, was totally on top of everything and she remember every detail of all sorts of things. Now she barely remembers where her things are.

I was extremely grateful for this chance to be with her. Her breast cancer bothers her a lot and she just hides her pain. She said it was just old age and she refused to tell me what was wrong. We talked about almost everything and I feel like I really know her. She thanked me daily for coming to see her and I felt guilty for not doing it much earlier.

As for this Elizabeth girl, Phoebe talks about her so much. She talks about how Elizabeth helps her out even during school days and even came to a point where she skipped her classes to help out with the coffee shop. She gushes about Elizabeth doing this and that, honestly, I was excited to see her. She seems like a kind person and I wanted to thank her for being with my grandma the past four years I was away. And I knew she was a great person because grandma would never let anyone touch her sister's typewriter. She took good care of that typewriter ever since Phoebe's sister passed on. The fact that Phoebe gave it away, means that person really mattered to her. So I was impressed with this Elizabeth girl for winning over Phoebe like that. Phoebe will still always be Phoebe even if she was kind and approachable now, she wasn't the easiest person to be with or the easiest to please.

I grabbed the large box on the counter, along with a small bakery box that Phoebe prepared and plopped both of it on the passenger seat. I awkwardly strapped the seat belt over it. Knowing how much Phoebe loves this typewriter, I needed to transport it safely to Elizabeth.

After the fifteen minutes drive and another few minutes getting lost in the dorms, I finally found their door. I combed my hair back one more time and knocked on the door. Phoebe opened the door with huge smile on her face.

"Sorry I took so long, I kinda lost my way."

"It's okay dearie, come in," Phoebe stepped aside whilst she took the large box from me. I see an elderly man standing behind her and he shook me hand after exchanging a few words of greeting with me. He then sat back down and I felt my wrist stinging all of a sudden, I felt my stomach drop because this means I can't escape anymore. I try to focus on the fact that I was meeting Phoebe's favourite person.
