King/Pha's POV

"Get that look off your face!" I scoff.

"What look?" Knight asks innocently.

"If you want to tease me, go ahead. Don't give me that kind of look like I have done something wrong. I just told him about my family. Is there anything wrong with it?" I say with frustration.

He shrugs, "Nothing wrong. I'm just amused that you told him about your family. From what I knew about you, you won't disclose anything about your family or anything too personal to someone you have only known for two months. He must be very special to you."

"I don't know. I myself don't even understand why I did that. I have no intention to tell him everything about my family, but... at that particular moment, a feeling coming from nowhere urging me to tell him everything. It's like wanting him to know everything about me." I sigh helplessly.

"And you even celebrate birthday with him when I had already told you three days before your birthday that I had ordered a birthday cake and would be waiting for you at your apartment to celebrate your birthday. In the end, you dumped me, your friend of more than two years for someone you just met two months ago. You are such a great friend!" He scowls at me, but I know he is pretending to be angry.

I give him a 'surrender' gesture with an apologetic smile, "Ok! It's my fault. I'm sorry. By the way, don't you think you are a bit too late for score settling since my birthday had already been over for... more than a week?"

He snorts at me, "I am too late?! Oh! Ask the person who had spent so much time with his N'Wayo recently and had no time to see me. *sigh* Apology accepted. Back to the business, I found something strange about Rook."

"He is not mine. What have you found?"

"Rook is that kind of man who couldn't survive a night without a woman, but surprisingly, he has found himself a boyfriend. Guess who is the best friend of his boyfriend? His boyfriend, N'Montree is one of your N'Wayo's best friends." He replies casually.

"He is not mine. How many times do I need to repeat myself? Wait a minute! Just now, you said, N'Yo's best friend is Rook's boyfriend?! Rook never told me about that." I frown at his discovery.

What is Rook up to? Is he plotting something behind my back?

"You didn't give him orders to be close to your N'Wayo's friends, right?"

I shake my head with a displeased frown, "No. I told him and Bishop to wait for my order and I haven't gave them any order ever since. Are you telling me that he is acting on his own? And he is not my N'Wayo."

"It's just my speculation. Maybe he did fall in love with that boyfriend of his even though we know the possibility is very low. But don't worry, I will keep an eye on him closely and make sure he didn't hurt your N'Wayo or do anything to him. Got to go."

Just like always, he will starts walking while talking. By the time he finished his sentence, he was out of the room. I wonder how he can manage the timing so well. Wait a minute...

"How many times do I need to tell you, he is not mine?" I shout.

Damn it! Doesn't he understand what I'm saying?! N'Yo, he is not mine... He is just... someone special.

N'Yo... An image of him forms inside my head...

Creamy skin... He still has baby fats on his cheeks which tempt people to pinch them and his eyes... I like his eyes. He has a pair of pure, beautiful eyes that will shine like meteor.

When he smiles, his eyes will sparkle so brightly that you feel like you are watching the meteor shower in his eyes. I like to see him smile, it makes me feel warm and happy like a home, even though I don't really know how a real home feel like because I don't have one. His smile seems to have the power to light up my whole world, my world of darkness.
