A Pawn By Accident

Cho's POV

"Damn it. It's my fault, I have miscalculated. I never thought that any of baby Yo's friends will get injured or get caught in this game." Gemma utters with frustration in her voice.

"Princess, take it easy. It's not your fault. From what I gather, N'Montree shouldn't be there in the first place. He followed Park Hongkittikul, discovered their secret so they had to get rid of him." Sky Sanrattana points out.

Six of us which is me, Yihwa, N'Ming, N'Beam, Gemma and Sky, are now having an emergency meeting in Sky's three storey house after receiving the news about N'Montree.

Sky was right. It wasn't Gemma's fault. No one expected something like that will happen. And I, as someone who had spend time with them, never expected they can be that cold-blooded and kill whoever gets in their way.

Gemma sighs, with eyes closed and opened again, "I know. N'Beam, how's N'Montree?"

"Blunt force trauma to the head, but he will be ok. It's a blessing that P'Sky's men managed to get him to the hospital in time. And I did what you instructed. I told his friends including N'Yo and his family that he is in coma with the risk of not waking up which is partly true because he is in drug-induced coma and won't be awake for a couple of days. I will check on him frequently." N'Beam replies.

"And one of my men will posed as a patient who is sharing the same room with N'Montree. Some will take turns posing as visitors. The tail is still on for those two. I also have men looking out for the rest of N'Yo's friends, those he always hangs around with." Sky states.

"Great! I really don't want to drag any of baby Yo's friends into this game, but this incident changes everything including my original plan. What is done is done. There is no way to undo it. N'Montree has become a pawn by accident which is not in my plan. I know they will hurt someone before going to her ultimate target which is baby Yo. I expected that 'someone' to be N'Ming or Cho. Seem like N'Montree has taken their place by accident."

"What?!!" Two voices shouted in unison and one is from the person sitting next to me.

"Gemma, seriously?! That bitch is crazy! And you knew there is a possibility that that crazy bitch will hurt Cho and you use him as a bait without giving him any protection or warning?!" Yihwa asks demandingly.

She looks angry and... shocked, like she couldn't believe what Gemma had just said. I'm not surprised if N'Pring wants to harm me. She doesn't like me at all. She just pretends to be friendly with me because of Pha.

Still, it feels good to have someone so concerned about you.

"She is dangerous. They both are. Even though N'Ming is her cousin, but I don't think she will show him mercy. They are cold-blooded and cruel. They intend to kill N'Montree and maybe bury his body if P'Sky's men didn't interrupt them." N'Beam continues after his cousin, with a deep frown on his face.

He sounds worried. Is he worried about N'Ming?

And looking at the silly smile on N'Ming's face.

Mmm... Is there something going on between them? I wondered.

"Relax! Both of you. And who told you, they are not protected?!" Gemma retorts.

"After N'Yo was attacked, Princess requested me to put a tail on possible targets including N'Ming and Cho for protection." Sky added casually, like he is talking about the weather.

What?!!

I straighten my back and sit upright.

What?!! Someone has been following me for weeks and I know nothing about it!
