THE LAKE,

8:57 AM

Amy walked towards the lake.

     It was early.

    She took a long, deep breath as she waded in the water. It was cool. She didn't hear anything. No birds chirping; no ducks flapping their wings.

     The stillness was disconcerting.

    Yet, she was a tough girl.

    She wasn't a girl who cried every time something bad happened. Other girls did that, and they didn't get anywhere in life.

     Not Amy.

      She looked around.

      The lake had a particular atmosphere.

      It was creepy
