"Luna!" I yelled. Seamor turned and the fireball exploded against his side. I reached down and caught Luna's wrist. With one hand I gripped my saddle and with the other, I gripped her wrist.

"What about Seamor?" I cried.

"He'll be fine," Luna said. "he's an ocean dragon."

Arrows flew around and I narrowly missed one. Then one sliced through Luna's body, spiraling out of her back.

"Oh, would you look at that... I've been impaled..." She mumbled. Then her eyes closed and she grew heavy. I hooked my legs around the saddle, then I leaned over to use my other hand to pull her up. I hurriedly ripped off a piece of my tunic to clot the blood flow from her wound.

I fumbled to check her pulse. I hastily put two fingers to her neck and was relieved to feel her heart pumping.

I looked back to see Krogan ordering his men into the sky. There were so many riders on chained dragons. Too many.

I suddenly had an idea. Maybe I could direct the dragonfire to the ships by flying closer to them. I decided to go with my gut. Each moment I wasn't at the Edge was more blood Luna lost. I couldn't let her die. We flew closer to the ships, but Krogan held out a hand to his riders, seeing my plan.

I glanced at the men on the deck. I saw the man who captured me in the first place. He had a large scar covering his left eye.

I directed Ambersky's fire towards him, knocking him off of his feet. We then flew off as quickly as we could, shooting off so the arrows wouldn't hit us.

Krogan and his dragons were still behind me as I flew quickly to Dragons Edge. I held onto Luna tightly, but gently, determined to get her to Dragons Edge alive.
