chapter 5

Shadowclaw stared is disbelief as the yellow tabby raced over to her. Blaze raced towarda her and jumped up on top of her. Pinning her to the ground.
"Get off me you furball!" Shadowclaw hissed and lashed a claw at Blaze. Blaze dodged and jumped off. Shadowclaw jumped and her paws and got in a fighting position.

"That wont be needed" Shadowclaw turned her head. An old white she-cat with brown and black spots laying on a peice of wood.
"Why not? Who are you?! And how is Blaze still alive, why'd you bring him here?!" Shadowclaw demanded. Leaf had a stoic expression.
"I saved Blaze from your claws" Leaf mewed. Shadowclaw narrowed her eyes.

"Last thing i heard you couldnt see so i find it hard to believe you saved him!" Shadowclaw dared. Blaze flinched.
"You dont want to do that" Blaze informed and padded up next to Shadowclaw. Shadowclaw turned her head and hissed at Blaze. Blaze crouched and backed away.

"Blaze will be needed on your journey" Leaf mewed and started grooming her paws. Shadowclaw clawed the ground.
"I dont want him on my journey. Last time he was with me he lead me to a dog!" Shadowclaw hissed. Leaf didnt change her expression.
"Kittypets are eager to achieve what they want" Leaf expalined. Shadowclaw snorted.
"Oh trust me, I've noticed" Shadowclaw mewed and flared at Blaze.
"the next thing Blaze wants to achieve is getting you home safely" Leaf mewed. Shadowclaw snorted in disqust.

"You mean my death right?" Shadowclaw dared. Blaze stepped forward.
"Im sorry Shadowclaw. I just wanted to see how you forest cats fought" Blaze apolagized. Shadowclaw moved her gaze away from Blaze's green gaze. Blaze stiffened with shock.
"I can take you to the edge of the two-leg place, then i will leave" Blaze promised. Shadowclaw turned her head to the kittypet.
"No more traps, or dogs?" Shadowclaw asked. Blaze nodded eagerly.

"Fine, but dont beg for me to care about you" Shadowclaw hissed and turned back to Leaf.
"Would you know where the clans had gone?" Shadowclaw forced herself to sound polite.
"They were on their way to the mountains" Leaf informed and pushed a mouse infront of her and started eating.

"Okay. Thanks" Shadowclaw mewed and turned around with Blaze behind her.
"So mountains eh?" Blaze asked. Shadowclaw looked down at her paws.
"This is going to take seasons" she murmurred.

Shadowclaw had followed Blaze through many places in the two-leg place, while he just talked about kittypet stuff.

Suddenly, Blaze stiffened.
"No..." he mewed in fear.
"What?!" Shadowclaw asked harsh and glared at Blaze.
"N-not here, not now, we gotta take another way..." Blaze mewed. Shadowclaw ran infront of the yellow tabby and looked into his green eyes. They were filled with fear and sorrow.
"What is it?!" Shadowclaw demanded. Blaze's legs started shaking.
"I... i cant do this!" Blaze shouted and turned away.

"Well, look what i found here" a cat spoke. Blaze stiffened in fear. Shadowclaw turned to see a huge black tom with green eyes.
"Isnt it little Blaze we have here?" The tom teased. Blaze crouched down.
"Look Fang... We'll leave, We'll leave" Blaze repeated and turned. Shadowclaw wanted to rake her claws through his throat but not after long, many cats walked over and sat behind Fang.

Shadowclaw turned and followed Blaze. Suddenly two cats jumped infront of them. A brown she-cat with ragged pelt and a light ginger tom.
Shadowclaw quickly turned around to face Fang.
"What do you want?!" Shadowclaw shouted. Fang smirked.

"I told Blaze he shouldnt show up here ever again, but here he is" Fang flexed his claws and narrowed his eyes with a smirk. Shadowclaw glared back at Blaze.
"Got some sort of debt?" Shadowclaw asked. Blaze shook his head.
"Its a long story. I'll tell you later" Blaze promised.
"Lets just start with Blaze's mother wasnt the sharpest" Fang mewed. Blaze flicked around.
"Dont you even dare!" Blaze sneered.

"You're weak. I saw how you lead that innocent she-cat into the fangs of a dog, without even bother to help" Shadowclaw could tell Fang was enjoying himself. Blaze's eyes became dark.
"I saw how your mother told you to run. You didnt even look back" Fang mrrowed.
"I was a kit!" Blaze exclamied. Shadowclaw stepped in.
"Thats it tell me what happened!" Shadowclaw hissed. Blaze sighed.

"My mom took me and my sister to find a shelter for us," Blaze started but gave Fang a fierce look.
"But then, we ran into trouble"
"My sister had ran but i stayed with my mother. Fang jumped at her and she told me to run. I did" Blaze explained. Shadowclaw felt her fur bristle. She drew her lips back in a fierce snarl.

"So Fang killed your mother?" Shadowclaw asked. Blaze nodded. Shadowclaw looked back at Fang.
"But a kittypet found you and your sister and took care of you. Happy ever after" Fang finished. Shadowclaw unsheated her claws.
"Come over here!" Shadowclaw dared. Fang licked his paw.

"Are you sure?" He teased. Shadowclaw didnt tense. She raced forward and jumpedbfor Fang. Fang moved so Shadowclaw missed. Shadowclaw landed on her paws, but Fang had swung a claw at her ear. She hit and Shadowclaw turned her head away. Her ear started bleeding. She raced towards him again. But this time she jumped from side to side to confuse him.

Fang found it hard to focus, Shadowclaw lashed a claw at him and hit his muzzle. Fang got to his muzzle, but Shadowclaw got on top of him and started sratching and biting. Fang swung a claw at Shadowclaw's face and hit her chin. Shadowclaw paced back. Fang jumped up on her and she was pinned again. Fang raised his claws and started lashing his claw over her belly.

Shadowclaw started shrieking. Suddenly the weight of Fang got pushed off. Shadowclaw got on her paws seing Blaze fight with Fang.
"This is for my mother!" Blaze shouted and bit down in Fang's neck. Fang's body stopped strugling and fell to the ground. All the cats fleed but Blaze stood over Fang's dead body.

"Good job" Shadowclaw praised. Blaze looked at Shadowclaw with widened eyes.
"Thanks" Blaze mewed. Blaze's green gaze was filled with happiness.
"Finally he's gone" Blaze whispered.
"Thanks to you. Maybe i was wrong" Shadowclaw mewed. Blaze turned his head in confusion.
"Wrong? Wrong about what?" Blaze asked and tilted his head in confusion.
"Nothing" Shadowclaw mewed.
