chapter 10

Leappaw gazed around the cave with widened eyes. Breeze nudged his flank.
"There's nothing to be afraid of" she calmed. Leappaw wished he could believe her. A brown tabby she-cat raced over to the Breeze.
"Great eagle Breeze. I was wondering when You'd return" the she-cat mewed. He gaze flixed on Leappaw.

"Who's that? He smells weird. Why do you have two eye colors?" The she-cat asked. Okay, she's worst than Breeze. She actually let me answer.
"Leaf calm fown. This is Leappaw" Breeze introduced. Leappaw dupped his head.
"I am Leaf that ripples on water. But just known as Leaf" Leaf mewed and gave a sniff.

"Why doesnt he have a title?" Leaf asked Breeze.
"They dont have titles where he comes from" Breeze explained.
"Where does he come from?" Leaf asked. Somecat help!

"Leaf i think thats quite enough. You dont want to scare the new commer off do you" a silver tabby she-cat had padded over to them. Leappaw guessed she was the age of a senior warrior.
"What is your name?" The she-cat asked. Leappaw opened his jaws to speak but Leaf interrupted.
"His name is Leappaw. Its pretty weird" Leaf whispered. Leappaw felt a growl rise in his throat. Breeze nudged his flank.

"Dont take notice of her" Breeze mewed. Leappaw glanced at Owl and Midnight. Seing Midnight had her lips drawn back in a fierce snarl. Leappaw leaned into Breeze.
"Why's Midnight so angry?" Leappaw whispered into Breeze's ear. Breeze tilted her head.
"What?" Breeze mewed confused.
"She's so angry all the time. Always sneering or growling st me. She's so annoying" Leappaw mewed. Breeze narrowed her eyes.

"She is my mother!" Breeze hissed. Leappaw lowered his ears. What?!
"Oh... i-im sorry" Leappaw apolagized. Leappaw had exspected Breeze to hiss at her again, but instead she began laughing.
"Its okay really. Everyone says that about her, but she has her reason" Breeze mewed. Leappaw tilted his head.
"What?" Leappaw asked. Breeze looked at Midnight with sorrow in her gaze.

"Before i was born my father had been carried away by an eagle. She says his spirit lives on in me. So she wont let me go or let anything happen to me" Breeze explained. Leappaw widened his eyes.
"Now im really sorry" he mewed. Breeze giggled.
"Its alright. And you'll have to excuse Midnight. She just wants to protect me" Breeze mewed. Leappaw gazed back at the black cave guard.

"More intruders!" Leaf shouted and pointed her muzzle at the water fall. Leappaw turned his head to the water fall and saw Hawk and Storm pad in, with all the clans behind them. Leappaw felt relieved when he saw Melodypaw beside Deathcloud.
"Melodypaw!" Leappaw shouted. But Melodypaw didnt even flick her ear. Her gaze was on Flamewing. Leappaw felt his fur bristleling. Then Melodypaw's funny remark rang inside his head. Your warrior name will be Bristlefur. Leappaw wanted to laugh but couldnt bring himself to it.

"Are you okay?" Breeze asked and poked Leappaw's shoulder. Leappaw looked at Breeze's beautiful pale grey fur and relaxed.
"Im fine" he mumbled. He could tell Breeze didnt fall for it.
"Who're they?" Leaf interrupted and pointed her tail at the leaders.
"Those are our leaders" Leappaw growled. Leaf had her amber gaze fized on the leaders.

"Who's that old badger?" Leaf asked and pointed at Sneezestar. Leappaw snorted.
"Thats Sneezestar. Leader of Leafclan" he mewed. Leaf's eyes lightened up.
"My clan?! Its Leafclan, but it could also be Leafclan's or Leaf's clan. Yep its my clan" Leaf started bambling about Leafclan's name. While Breeze leaned up against Leappaw.

Leappaw gazed at the leaders as Sweetstar approached the silver tabby she-cat he met before.

"my name is Stoneteller. i am the leader of the tribe of blazing fire" Stoneteller greeted. the leaders dipped their heads. Sweetstar took a pace forward. Leappaw couldnt hear the rest.

"come on Leappaw! i'll introduce you to the others of our tribe" Breeze mewed and lashed her tail over Leappaw's neck and guided him away.
"I'll show you our prey-hunters and cave-guards" Breeze mewed. Leappaw nodded in responce and padded after Breeze's pale grey pelt.

"This is Ember from dying flame. And this is Mouse of the forest moor" Breeze pointed her tail at a ginger tabby she-cat with green eyes. That must be Ember from dying flame. Leappaw turned his head to the other cat. The other cat was a small brown tom.
"They're the parents of Leaf" Breeze informed and lashed Leappaw away from the cave-guards. She dragged him over to a small cave with two she-cats sitting with kits.
"That is Gray ash left from fire," Breeze mewed and pointed at a grey queen. Leappaw's gaze moved to a cream colored queen.
"That is Daisy in flower fuild" Breeze mewed. The queens turned their gazes to Leappaw and Breeze. Daisy narrowed her eyes, but Ash gave a friendly smile.

"They're also known as kit-mothers" Breeze mewed and dragged Leappaw away again. She introduced him to many of the other tribe cats, but Leappaw was more interrested in Breeze. Something about that she-cat made Leappaw feel he could defeat a badger with no problems.

"All cats gather!" Stoneteller shouted. Leappaw and Breeze looked up at a cliff. Stoneteller was standing there with all the leaders. Soon all cats sat under the cliff.
"Im sure you all want to know who our guests are" Stoneteller mewed. Cats began to whisper.
"The tribe of endless hunting have send me a sign" Stoneteller mewed. Leappaw tiltes his head and glanced at Breeze.
"Another tribe?" Leappaw mewed questioning. Breeze nodded.
"Its our ancestors. When we die we go up to that tribe" Breeze explained. So just like starclan?

"They have send me a vision of where these cats will be taken. They were forced out of their homes, hungry and tired. The tribe of blazing fire will do as the tribe of endless hunting pleases. Therefor we will help the clans get to that place"
