Summer With the Grier's (Hayes Grier)

Chapter 12

*Shawns's P.O.V*

Ali and I had been spending a lot of time together over the past few days. I've got to know a lot about her and she is perfect. She is everything I ever wanted in a girl. But I can't have her. She is dating Hayes and she seems to really like him a lot. But the thing is, I'm not sure he feels the same way anymore. He seems to always be on his phone and has been ignoring all of us lately. When I am around Ali though I feel like I can tell her anything. I know she is two years younger then me, but she looks and acts much older then her actual age. I never would have guessed she was two years younger then me.

Today is the day before magcon and Ali, Cassidy, all the guys and I decided to all hang out by the pool and just relax before magcon. I headed out to the backyard where the pool was. When I got outside I saw that everyone was already in the pool. I took off my shirt and was about to jump in when I was distracted by Hayes' phone going off. He raced out of the pool and ran inside with his phone up to his ear. Ali looked a little upset that Hayes had left because of one phone call that probably wasn't that important. I thought that maybe I could cheer her up. I jumped in and swam over to Ali. I picked her up and put her on my shoulders which made her scream, causing me to laugh.

Matt and Cam caught on to what I was planning because I could see them racing towards Ali and I. Matt was on Cams shoulders am it looked so funny. Matt and Ali fought while Cam and I tried to hold them up and out of the water. Ali pushed Matt off and he went backwards into the water. She seemed pretty proud of herself so I decided to flip her off of my shoulders as well. She went under and came up screaming at me while trying to hold I'm her laughter at the same time.

I started chasing after her and she ran away from me screaming. I was a much faster swimmer than her so I caught up pretty fast. I caught up to her and pulled her under water with me. We resurfaced and I started tickling her. "Shawn stop! Please I surrender!" Ali said while putting her arms in the air in defeat. Ali's smiling face went cold when she looked behind me. I turned around to see a very sad and angry looking Hayes. He glared at me then ran inside.

Ali went chasing after him. I got out of the pool as well to see of she was ok. I walked inside and I saw Ali pounding on Hayes door trying to hold in her tears. "Hayes please just listen. Nothing is going on between me and Shawn we are just friends." Ali said. I was hurt from what she had said. I thought that maybe she did like me. Maybe we had a chance. But I was stupid for thinking that. She has a boyfriend. I don't know why I started liking her. Wait yes I do. I like Ali a lot. And now I know that she does not feel the same way. I felt like crying.

"Shawn I'm sorry but I like Hayes." Ali said again. Tears pricked her eyes and I could tell that she was a little hurt from saying that. I think she noticed that I was upset as well. A single tear fell down my cheek and I raced out the door past Ali.

I need to find a way to make her mine.

*Ali's P.O.V*

Of course she has to be here right now. Everything was falling to pieces and now she decides to walk through MY door into MY house. Who even invited we over! I sure as hell did not invite that she devil into my house. She smirked at me seeing that I was crying. "Awe look who is sat here crying on the floor." She said with a smirk. "Did Hayes finally break up with you?" She laughed. "What are you even doing in my house!" I screamed at her. She looked a bit taken back because I have never stood up against her before. "Hayes invited me over." She said with a fake smile. I just glared at her. "I'm sorry but I think you should leave. Now is not a good time. " Cameron said as nicely as he could. Just then Hayes walked out of his door and he looked like he had been crying.

"Lexi is here to talk about the camp that we are going to." Hayes said. Before I knew that Hayes and his family were coming to stay with us this summer my mom booked a over night camp for me to go to. It was just for 13/14 year old's. All you got to do there was just have fun and do your own thing basically. It was on am island so there was lots of stuff to do such as wake boarding, sailing, tubing, boating, and swimming. It was basically a place to go and have fun and meet new people. And I'm always up for meeting new people. When we found out they were staying with us this summer my mom asked Hayes mom if he would want to come with me. He agreed and it was just supposed to be the two of us going. Until he decided to invite the she devil herself, Lexi.

I was fuming. "Look Hayes can we talk." I said completely ignoring Lexi. I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the other room. "Why would you invite Lexi to go to this camp? And why does it feel like you like her more then me now. I said as my eyes started to tear up. "I don't like Lexi more then you. I was only doing this to make you jealous because I though you liked Shawn. But I heard everything you said. Look I'm sorry Ali. I really like you. A lot. And I didn't want to loose you so fast. You are the only girl that I like. Please forgive me." Hayes said as his eyes started to get watery.

"Hayes you know that I would never do anything to hurt you. And Shawn is just a friend. I only like you. I forgive you. But please tell Lexi to leave." I said with a smile on my face. "Of course. She was starting to annoy me too." he said, then laughed. We walked back into the hallway where Lexi was waiting. " I'm sorry Lexi but you need to leave." Hayes said as he grabbed my hand in his. I looked down at our hands and smiled. "Fine then I didn't even want to come here anyways because I couldn't stand next to this ugly bitch for another minuet." Lexi said while looking at me. "Lexi leave now you have down enough damage here already." Cameron butted in. "Ha ha alright then. Bye Hayes see you tomorrow at Magcon. I will be right in the front for you." Lexi said then winked at Hayes. She strutted out the door leaving me steaming mad.

She better not ruin anything at Magcon.

Sorry I took so long to update this. I was very busy working. It sucks having a job over summer. But I was getting a lot of requests to do an update so I hope you all enjoyed!
