-Quite the time skip-

Josh and Tyler had been together for a while now and had grown so much closer. Tyler was still battling his mental problems, but Josh, Brendon and his therapist always made sure to be there. 

Brendon's business had grown exponentially. Tyler still worked there and Josh had also gotten hired. 

Josh eventually moved in with Tyler and sold his house. A guy named Ryan moved in, and they soon became close friends with him. When they introduced him to Brendon the two immediately hit it off. 
It was like to two were meant for each other. 
They obviously hadn't found out if they were soul mates or not yet. 

Brendon and Ryan were cooking dinner one day when Brendon noticed something off about Ryan's hand. He looked a bit closer and noticed it had the same exact words from when Brendon had marked down some stuff for his stock earlier that day. 
Brendon flailed his arms but bit his knuckle so he didn't make an exasperated noise. He then sneaks off into Ryan's office room scrambles around and finds a pen. 
He walks back into the kitchen and draws a random line and watches as it appears on Ryan's arm in the same spot. 

Brendon dramatically screams, but with no sound, then says "I'LL BE RIGHT BACK." and darts to Tyler's house. He bangs on the door and when Josh and Tyler answer he forces his way in. 
"He's my fuckin' soul mate."
"That's great!" Tyler says. 
"No, because he doesn't know that we are because when I found out I sprinted to you to ask for advice, like how does one bring something that life-changing up?" 
"You just have to do it, Tyler made it out like I was about to get in trouble." Josh giggles. 
Brendon thinks for a moment, "You're right, okay. I got this." 

Brendon goes back next door without saying anything else and walks in and immediately hugs Ryan. 
The man jumps in surprise but hugs back anyways, "Hello to you, too." 
"I have to show you something." 
Ryan looks at him curiously awaiting what it could be. Brendon grabs a pen and writes 'I love you.' on his arm. Ryan looks confused for a moment, then it dawns on him, he glances down to his arm and sees the same thing written on his arm. He feels tears prick his eyes and he flings his arms around Brendon.
"Oh, thank God! I love you, too!" 
Brendon holds the man close to him and feels complete. He was so scared he wasn't going to find his soul mate. 
They enjoy dinner together completely happy with their new found information. 


The week following Josh decides it's time. He had just picked up his ordered ring and went straight to Brendon's. 
When Brendon answered Josh breathed out, "I need your help with something." 

The following night Tyler come home to Josh dressed up really nicely, "You look hot." He giggles. 
"Thank you, baby. Now go get dressed I'm taking you out tonight." 
Tyler scurries off and finds his cutest outfit and meets Josh back downstairs. 
Josh drives them to a nice restaurant and they meet Brendon and Ryan at the door. 
Once they're seated they begin a nice conversation and Brendon feels like he could explode from happiness for the two. 

After dinner Brendon and Ryan say their goodbyes, then Josh drives off to a large field with a view of the water that had the sunset reflecting off of it. 
Tyler stared out to the sunset but Josh could do nothing but have his eyes on Tyler. The light cast on him perfectly and at this moment any nervousness he had, vanished. 
He felt powerful with Tyler next to him. He could do and overcome anything. This is his person. 
"Tyler.." He whispered. 
The man turned to him with a small smile on his lips, "This place is beautiful." 
"Not as beautiful as you," Josh then drops on one knee and pulls out a black box. 
Tyler's hand fly up to cover his face as tears are already beginning to fall. 
"Tyler, I can't believe I have someone as amazing as you to be my soul mate. You have done nothing but love me every day that I've known you. Everything about you is perfect. I want the rest of my life to be with you in it, and I don't just say that because we are soul mates. I want to wake up to you every day. I want your mood swings and your sad times. I want you. That's all I need to conquer the thing we call life. I love you, Tyler." He opens the box and reveals the ring branded with the two skeletons from those fateful drumsticks on it, "Will you do me the honor of marrying me?" 
"Oh my gosh! Yes, of course!" Josh slides the ring onto Tyler's finger and stands up to pull Tyler in for a kiss just as the sun fully sets and the night begins.
