Connor was just enjoying his nap when he was awoken by a loud 'SMASH'. He couldn't help but to release a sigh of annoyance at the sound. It was bound to be another warrior come to slay the beast in which he was. Connor was a type of gorgon, he had snakes for hair and turned people into stone if they looked at his eyes.
He abruptly stood up from where he was resting and quietly walked out of the room he was in. He closed his eyes as he did wanting to give the warrior some sort of chance.
He expertly avoided walking into anything as he made his way over to where he heard the crash. He stood taller and spoke when he felt the presence of another person, "Oh come great warrior it is I Connor, prepare to meet your doom" he blanky stated while opening his eyes.
The other person seemed to jump a bit at his voice his head turning to try and find the source of the voice, "I-i'm s-sorry I think I-I broke some-something". The boy seemed to be unaware of the danger he was in considering he hadn't ran away yet.
Another strange thing about the boy was that he was practically covered in flowers, like they were attached to him. They covered all of his right arm and layed on top of vines which were wrapped around both of the boys arms. Then again Connor wasn't really in a position to judge considering he had snakes for hair. Finally registering what the boy had said he looked down to see that the boy had indeed knocked over some old vase his mother had brought over.
Looking him over once again the boy really didn't look or act like a warrior really. Considering a warrior would have attacked him by now, or at least looked a bit scared of his appearance, "You're not a warrior are you?" He may have phrased it like a question but he already knew the answer.
The boy let out an airy laugh almost like a scoff, "M-me a warrior, t-that's absurd" Connors eyes glanced to the movement on the boys arm. As he spoke a bunch of flowers started to bloom on his right arm.
The boy looked at his his arm and quickly crossed his arms putting the one sprouting flowers underneath the other. He shifted in his spot, eyes glancing around the room, "You ssshould really stop doing that", All it would take was once glance of Connors eyes and this boy would turn to stone.
"D-doing what?" The boy started to shift in his spot which seemed to remind Connor that he was just standing on a pile of broken glass .
The boy cringed up when he heard the crack of glass under his feet, "Closse your eyes and i'll help you". He seemed confused by the request but did so anyway. He now was able to look at the boy's closed eye's without having to worry of turning him into stone. He walked over to the boy making noise as he did so the boy would know he was approaching.
He stood tall in front of the boy the snakes on his head all flicking their tongues out to try and smell the stranger. He smooshed the snakes back with his hand, "I'm going to pick you up now".
"Okay", Connor slowly slid his hands underneath the boy's legs lifting him up so he was in a cradle position. The boy released a gasp in surprise at the shift and went to put his hands around Connors neck to help stabilize him.
Connor couldn't help but stare at the boy in his arms, he had curly golden brown hair and a bunch of small flowers surrounded his eyes, it made him wonder what color his eyes were. Connor realized he was staring so he started to move them both away from the glass.
"You s-said your na-name was Connor earlier ri-ight", said boy nodded in confirmation before realizing that the boy in his arms had his eyes closed and couldn't see the movement.
Connor set the boy down once they were away from the pile, "Yess", He unconsciously hissed out, "What'ss your name?".
The boy looked up at him still keeping his eyes closed, "It's Evan", he seemed to bite his lip before he asked his next question, "Yo-you're not hu-human are you? I mean I could be mistaken and I don't mean to offend you in anyway it's just that when my hand was behind your neck it felt like a snake licked me but I could be wrong but then again why else would you want me to close my eyes and i'm rambling now aren't I i'm sorry I'll stop now".
Connor was barely able to catch anything that Evan had said, he didn't even think that Evan stopped to take a breath during any of that. It took his brain a moment to figure out that he had been asked a question, "Uh yess, i'm a gorgon".
Evan seemed to make an oh sound as he realized why connor had wanted him to close his eyes. Connor nearly screamed when he saw Evan open his eyes. He stared into the blue orbs waiting for them to turn into stone. He stared in shock when nothing happened, "I don't understand, how are you alive still?"
Evan laughed a little, "Connor i'm blind", Connor felt his mouth gape like a fish as he tried to process what he was witnessing, he was staring at someone's eyes and they were still alive. Connor felt like he was under a spell he couldn't stop looking at Evan's eye's. They were a light blue which add to the whole soft vibe coming from him.
"U-um i'm sorry again ab-about um wh-whatever it was th-that I dropped earlier". The vines on his arms moved to wrap around himself, probably in a comforting way.
"It was just an old vase, i'm not mad" Connor saw Evans vines drop from around his body in relief and return to their original position on his arms.
"Ssso what brings you here anyway?"
Hahaha that ending was shit but I hoped you enjoyed, I'll try to write another chapter this week since last week I was unable to create a new chapter, also should I make another part to this?
