Ava's POV

Oh my god. I can't believe that Matt is here. How did I not know?

I mean, I can't really blame myself for not knowing. I guess I could've looked into Magcon before I left, but I didn't think that I needed to.

This is going to be a disaster.

"So you dated Matt?!" Johnson whispered to me.

"Yeah, just keep it on the down-low though. Jack would be pissed if he found out." I said in a hushed voice. I was avoiding going over to the group because I knew Matt would say something.

"Well what are you gonna do?" Johnson said impatiently. I knew he wasn't going to leave me standing by myself in an airport, so I had to figure something out.

"I have no idea." I sighed. "I guess I'm gonna have to go over there."

"Atta girl!" He said, giving me a high five. I rolled my eyes and began to slowly stroll over. I heard Jack talking.

"Oh, and here comes my lovely girlfriend! Boys, meet Ava." He said I walked up next to him.

"Hey," I said quietly with a small wave and smile. I looked around at each of them and Matt's eyes were glued to me. He had a smirk on his face. Even if I was dating Jack, I couldn't help but admit that Matt was unbearably attractive. His smile got me every time.

After I was introduced to many very attractive boys, we walked to pick up out luggage. Jack and Nash went to go get some coffee, so apparently Matt figured it was the right time to talk to me.

"Hey," he said quietly as he sat down next to me.

"Hi," I said flashing him a slight smile. "How are you?"

"I'm good, what about you?"

"Eh, I'm okay. I'm never usually more than okay though." I said honestly. He nodded in response.

Matt knew that I went through a really rough patch in my life when my parents were in the middle of their divorce. I became really depressed and never wanted to leave my room. Ever since I really haven't been amazingly happy. Sure, there were times when I was happy about something, but I was never ecstatic about being alive. I've always thought that life kinda sucks.

"I've missed you, Aves." He said without making eye contact. I loved when he called me by my nickname.

"I've missed you too. I think about everyone back home a lot. Omaha sucks. It's so boring and ugly, it's the total opposite of LA." I said with a nasty look on my face. Matt looked at me and laughed.

"You're so adorable," He giggled. I smiled and laughed along.

Jack and Nash finally returned with our coffee after what seemed like ages. Matt and I were able to catch up on our lives which was really good.

After we had found everyone's luggage, we headed off to the front of the airport where our car was. It was going to take us to the hotel we were staying at.

Once we got to the car, we packed our suitcases in the back and piled in. It was about a 20 minute drive from the airport to the hotel.

I woke up to Jack tapping on my nose. I opened my eyes and looked at him like he was crazy.

"What exactly are you doing?" I said quietly.

"Well I was trying to wake you up without you being angry at me for tickling you. I figured you'd wake up if I tapped your nose." He laughed. "Anyway, we're here."
