*Jack's POV*

School is almost back and I'm basically pissed. This summer seems like it just started. I knew that I had to do something to kick off the new school year.

"Hey Sam?" I said. "Remember when you said that you were gonna have a huge party?"

"Yeah?" he said with a smirk on his face.

"I think this weekend is the weekend."

"Dude are you almost ready?" I screamed up to my best friend, Jack Johnson.

"Yeah, I'll meet you out in the car!"

I sighed and grabbed my keys. I walked out, got in the car, and started it. After about 5 minutes, a cologne soaked Jack walked out of the house.

"Dude, how much cologne do you need?" I asked laughing.

After driving for about a minute, Jack looked over at me.

"Dude, I know that look. You're gonna hook up with another girl tonight aren't you?" he said laughing.

"Shut up," I said laughing along. "I haven't really hooked up with that many girls."

"Jack," he said. "I am pretty sure by this point there could be a support group for the sole purpose of consoling girls that you have hooked up with." he laughed. I joined in. He was kind of right. I have had my hook ups, but there weren't that many, and most of them didn't even go past making out.

We soon arrived at the party. It was already pretty late, so it was in full force. People immediately grabbed us to go play beer pong. Me and Jack were always partners, and we made a good team.

After almost an hour of beer pong, the game was finished and me and Jack won. Even though we did, it don't mean we were stable. We were both pretty wasted.

I sat down and everyone was starting a game of spin the bottle/truth or date. That's when I saw her.

Ava.

I wanted to talk to her. I guess my reputation of being a "player" got around to her, and she didn't like it very much. I decided not to say anything because I knew I was wasted and it would probably sound really stupid anyway. Right then the game started.

Sam spun the bottle and it landed on a girl named Macy. We had kissed at a party a while back, but she still obsessed over me.

"Okay, Macy," Sam said. "truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Ok, who's the hottest guy at our school?" he said smirking and looking over at me. He knew what she was going to say.

"Well that's actually pretty easy," she smiled and looked at me. "Jack Gilinsky."

I looked away like I didn't hear anything and clenched my jaw. I could slap Sam.

"Okay Macy, your turn to spin." said Sam. She spun it and of course, it landed on me.

"Jack!" she said enthusiastically. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare." I said without making eye contact. She sat there for a second contemplating.

"I dare you to kiss the girl in the room that you are most attracted to." she said smiling. If she thought it was her, she was crazy.

I sighed, pushed myself out of my seat, walked over to Ava, and with no hesitation pushed my lips into hers. She immediately kissed me back. No matter how much she wanted to deny it, she's been waiting for this.

•Ava's POV•

He chose me. He's most attracted to me. No matter how much I wanted to deny it, I've been waiting for this. Right then, he pulled away. I opened my eyes and he was looking at me. He winked, turned around, and sat down. I was in shock. I could feel myself blushing. All of a sudden, I realized the drama that unfolding right before me.

It was Macy. She started crying, then ran out of the room.

"Is she okay?" I asked. Everyone shrugged. I looked at Jack. He gave me the "I don't know" face and looked away. I huffed.

After a very eventful night of truth or dare, I decided I was going to go home. I lived right down the block from Sam's house, so I was able to walk.

I stood up ready to leave.

"Where are you going?" Jack asked looking up at me.

"I'm gonna get going," I said. "it's getting late."

"Well then let me walk you out," he said smiling. Everyone started oohing. I laughed and rolled my eyes.

When we got outside we were standing on the steps.

"Listen Ava," he said. "I don't want you to think of me as-"

"Shut up and kiss me, Gilinsky." I interrupted. He looked confused at first, then did as I directed. We were in a hardcore make out session when he started to kiss my neck.

"I know that this is probably just another one of your hook ups," I said through huffs of air. "but it's been great."

He pulled away and spoke against my neck.

"I don't want this to be a hook up." he said.

"Then what is it?"

"I don't know but it's pretty great," he said between neck kisses. "You're different. I like that."

"How am I different than all the other girls?"

"You stood up for yourself. You weren't about to let me take control over you."

He had pulled away and was looking into my eyes. We both stood there breathing heavily, me pushed up against a pillar, and him standing over me.

All of a sudden I kissed him again. I don't know what made me, but it happened. We kissed and kissed and kissed, until I was pretty sure that I would never be able to speak again.
