*Ava's POV*

Where did she go?

Is she okay?

I decided that I would go upstairs to try and find her. I looked over at Jack who was on his phone and whispered in his ear.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom,"

I looked up at him and he nodded. I got up from my seat and started walking away. I went up the staircase that brought me to a hallway. I began walking towards the bathroom. Suddenly I walked straight into a small, tan girl with dark brown hair and green eyes. The way she glared out me, wow. If looks could kill.

"Macy, oh my god, I am so sorry!" I awkwardly said.

"Why don't you just stay out of my way, okay, Ava? With Jack too." She sneered. My jaw dropped. I suddenly got quiet.

"What do you mean 'with Jack too'?"

"What I mean is we had something. We went pretty far. I'm not going to let some pretty, stuck up, bitchy girl come in and ruin everything we had, got it?"

If it was even possible, my jaw dropped even lower. I sat there in shock of what she just said. Did her and Jack really do anything? If so, how far did they go? I really wanted to believe that he was different than Lacey said, but I kept getting the feeling that she was completely correct.

"Got it." I said. She smiled and pushed past me, walking downstairs. I ran into the bathroom and shut and locked the door. What am I even supposed to believe? Is he actually sweet and caring or is he faking it?

After I had been in there a few minutes I decided that I really needed to just go home. I quietly walked down the stairs to the basement. I wanted to just grab my bag and leave. As soon as I got down there, I looked at Jack. He was sitting exactly where he was before, but this time, he had his arm around Macy. I felt sick. I knew this wasn't right. I knew I had to go home. I grabbed my bag and stomped up the stairs, not trying to be quiet anymore. I walked straight out of the house and down the street. I had walked for about thirty seconds when I felt someone grab my shoulder.

•Jack's POV•

I was sitting on the couch waiting for Ava to come back downstairs when Macy came down. She sat down where she was sitting before and looked like she had been crying. Everyone else was having their own conversations, so I called her over.

"Hey, what's wrong?" I whispered.

"You, Jack. It's you."

"What did I do?"

"You ditched me. We did all those things and you ditched me for some sl-"

Right then I saw Ava grabbing her bag and running upstairs. I got up from my spot and tried to go after her when Macy pulled me back down.

"See? There you go again, chasing after the slut." She said snarkily.

"You know what, Macy? She isn't a slut. You don't know her. You know nothing about her, so why don't you go get your head out of your ass for once and lighten up?"

She stood there gaping at me. I could handle her shit anymore. I had to say something.

I ran upstairs and out my front door. I could see two figures up ahead of me. One of them was struggling away from the other one.

It was Ava.
