Ava's POV

I grabbed my shirt and put it back over my thin frame. I turned to see Jack getting dressed again, this time in sweatpants and a Westside t-shirt. I smiled at the thought of his lips on mine. This boy couldn't keep me away, even though I knew that he wanted me too.

"So do you wanna go back downstairs with the guys? I think Macy left," he said looking at me. I nodded and he grabbed my hand in his. His hand engulfed mine, and in that moment, everything felt right. It was as if all of the jagged pieces to my screwy life were finally going into place, and I was completely fine with that.

We walked down his staircase into the basement where all the guys were. When we sat down, all of them started to laugh.

"What are you laughing about?" I asked, kind of embarrassed.

"Well let's see," Johnson said. "Jack is in a completely different outfit, aaaaaand your shirt is on inside out." My jaw dropped as I looked down. He was right, my shirt was most definitely inside out.

"I, uh, it's not-" I started explaining.

"Don't worry about it, do you really think we care?" Johnson said laughing again. I looked down and blushed.

"Just so you know, we most definitely did not have sex," I said.

"Suuure, whatever you say," Johnson said with a wink. I rolled my eyes.

We all sat and talked for a while, until Jack's mom walked in.

"Hey sweetheart, is your gal pal staying for dinner?" She said in a typical mom voice. It was incredibly difficult, but I managed not to laugh. I did crack a small smile though.

"Mom, really?" Jack said blushing. I looked at him and giggled. He was so cute when he was embarrassed.

"I can get going if you need me to," I said looking at both of them. Jack looked at me like I was crazy.

"Uh, no. I think you're fine here." He smirked. I laughed at his response.

"Well, I guess I am staying then!" I said to his mom. She smiled and nodded.

"Okiedokie! I about to head down to the pizzeria to grab a few pies, but I should be back in a jiffy! You kids play nice!" She replied. And with that, she was gone.

As soon as she walked out, I burst into laughter. I honestly couldn't stop for at least 5 minutes, watching Jack blush the whole time.

"Jack," I said calming down. "I have a theory." I said still giggling.

"And what's that?" He said not looking at me. Aw, he was mad.

"Okay, first, don't be mad at me. I think she's cute! And second, my theory is that she was teleported here from the 1950's." I said giggling again. I could tell he wanted to laugh with all of us because I saw him crack a small smile. I really wanted to kiss him, but I didn't want to make everyone else uncomfortable. Trust me, I have been in situations where that has happened to me and it was not fun.

Sooner than later, Mrs. Gilinsky arrived with the pizzas. We ate down in the basement away from the rest of his family.

After a while, everyone had left except me, Johnson, and Sammy. We were about to put on a movie when the both piped up.

"Hey dude, I think me and Sam are gonna head on out. It's getting pretty late." He said with a wink to Jack. What was he trying to do?

After exchanging goodbyes to both of them, they walked out the door. I didn't even have time to look at Jack before I felt his lips press against mine.

I jumped back in shock, then continued what he started. Right when things started getting heated, he pulled away. We were both out of breath. I looked up at him and pouted.

"What was that for?" I asked. He laughed and looked into my eyes.

"Ava," He said getting serious. I stopped pouting and looked at him.

"What's wrong?" I said getting concerned. When people get serious suddenly, it always throws me off. i never know how I should react.

"I, uh, I, I like you." He said blushing.

I looked up at him and blushed also. I gently grabbed him face and brought it to mine, leaving the softest kiss I have ever given on his lips.

"I like you too, Jack. A lot." I smiled. He looked up into my eyes again.

"Will you, uh, go on a date with me?" He stuttered out. I giggled at how adorable he was, even when he screwed something up.

"It would be an honor, Mr. Gilinsky."
