Chapter 14: Diddy? Snake? to the Rescue

Diddy started howling as he spotted the ship with his dear partner, Donkey Kong chained, still as a trophy. 

"Calm down monkey I'll drop you off." Falco responded as he opened the hatch of the Arwing, dropping Diddy Kong. 

Diddy immediately revived Donkey Kong as he landed and Donkey Kong roared, ripping the chains to free himself. However, a good load of black matter once again appreared and formed surrounding the two, forming itself into figures to fight. It was when a man in tight blue spandex and a man in a spacesuit jumped onto the ship out of nowhere. The two introduced themselves as Captain Falcon and Olimar as they faced their backs against the two growling animals, ready to fight. 

It did not take long before Donkey Kong punched away the last one standing, off the ship. Diddy and Donkey high-fived, doing their celebration dance. Diddy then looked up to the sky to find Falcon, who gave him a thumbs up. Diddy howled as if to say thank you. 

Soon enough, the ship arrived at the entrance of an enormous, floating island. It was the research facility. 

Snake's P.O.V

 I was running through the complicated paths of the research facility, not caring that usually I had to hide in my cardboard box. 

"Snake, I have lots of good news. Samus is on the first floor and I spotted the subspace bombs. They're stored upstairs. Also, there are some guests here if you turn the next corner right." Otacon informed through the codec as I decided to see who the guests were. I didn't see how it was a good news but I heard....howling and stomping when I saw a gigantic gorilla, a monkey, a man in a tight spandex and a man in a space suit followed by...are those moving plants?

They did not seem to notice my presense until I coughed on purpose.

"Hey! I'm Captain Falcon, this is Olimar, Diddy Kong and Donkey Kong." THe man in the blue spandex almost shouted as he gave me a hand to shake.

I returned the handshake as I introduced myself, then brought up a completely different topic.

"I don't know how familiar you guys are with the subspace bombs, but the bombs are stored upstairs and I need help destroying them. Can ya'll help?" 

"Not a problem Snakey." Captain Falcon replied with energy and..loudness. I didn't give him a reaction for calling me Snakey.

I ran back to where I came from and headed downstairs. Then I ran into a fat penguin with a gun in his hands.

"I'm the glorious King Dedede if you didn't know." The fat penguin introduced himself as he aimed the gun at me, firing.

"That's not really the nicest way to introduce yourself to people." I jumped up to avoid the attack. 

I launched a missile at the gun that Dedede was holding. It shattered into pieces as Dedede shrieked. Well that wasn't so hard.

"No! Wario is gonna beat me with the collection.." Dedede was talking to himself, disappointed.

"Where is Samus." I ignored his comment and asked with a low, threatening voice.

"Samus?" Dedede started laughing as he heard her name.

"What's so funny." I asked angrily.

"Ridley is probably having a lot of fun with her.." Dedede smirked and I have had enough. I knew Ridley by now because Otacon had told me about the monster. I headed straight to Dedede giving him a hard kick up his chin and placing a grenade as I backed out.  When the grenade exploded and the smoke faded away, Dedede was defeated, turned into a trophy figure.

I revived him as I pointed my gun at him.

"I'll only ask one more time. Where is Samus Aran." I asked, almost pulling the trigger.

"Okay okay! She's in the room called Office. If you turn left then it's right there." Dedede flinched with fear as he saw my gun pointed at his face. 

I ran as fast as I could to the room. Office was such a weird name for locking people up but that did not matter at the moment. I kicked the door open to see Samus chained to a wall half unconscious.

As I saw that Ridley was not present, I ran up to Samus and broke the chains off. She immediately fell down as she had no energy. I saw bruises on her face and parts of her zero suit were ripped along with some blood stains.

"Snake..." Samus cracked her eyes open, then the next thing I knew she put her arms around my neck and buried herself into my chest. This was the first time Samus showed her...weakness. Fear. It was almost like admitting it, compared to when she was injured from falling into the ground.

" It's alright...I'm here....I'm right here.." I whispered to her, trying not to imagine the horrific scenary of what Ridley had done to the poor bounty hunter. Everything felt slow.

I helped her up once again and told her about the location of the subspace bombs. She held herself together back to her normal state. She seemed a little embarassed that she revealed her weakness to me. 

"I need to get my powersuit back and...Pikachu! I need to find Pikachu as well." She gasped as she remembered that yellow thing.

"Think you can go by yourself?" I asked, almost condescendingly. 

"Meet me later on the third floor." the bounty hunter glared at me before disappearing.

Samus's P.O.V

It was not too hard to find Pikachu, as I spotted one room with an abnormal amount of light glowing from inside. As many thoughts about Snake rushed through my mind, I entered the place carefully and found Pikachu trapped in a glass cage. There was a machine next to the cage, which seemed like an energy measurer. Or possibly a consumer, I realized as Pikachu was given a shock every once in a while to have the energy consumed. 

"Bastards." I whispered before destroying the glass cage with my plasma whip.

A familiar alarm went off, gathering a number of robots.

"Pikachu, think you can hold yourself?" I asked the same question as what Snake had asked me, earning a "Pika!" from the little monster.

Though I had some bad damage from Ridley's torture, I managed to defeat all of the robots with Pikachu's help. Ridley. A flashback of the scenery went through my head when I realized I was breathing heavily. Pikachu looked at me confused.

"Now let's go get my damn suit back!" 

Pikachu and I ran through the hallway and reached a room that kept my suit safely. I shattered the protective glass with my whip, which caused another alarm. 

Here we go again....I thought to myself as I armored myself. Pikachu and I ran through our way to the third floor.
