Chapter 12: Hurry

Snake's P.O.V

I was on the ship of halberd, hiding in my cardboard box before I decided to make a move. Then suddenly, I heard my codec turn on. It was from Samus. She called me? For what? Does the ice cold bounty hunter need me? I smiled at the thought, but it did not last another second as I heard her scream. 

"Poor girl. Trying to revenge the monster that killed your parents, but easily crushed." I heard a deep voice. 

"What do you want!" My heart skipped a beat as I heard the desperate tone of voice from Samus. 

"What do I want? I don't want anything from you. You were simply in my way and I'm just serving my master. He wants this whole world sucked into the Subspace. No one can stop him and you will rot behind the bars while you watch all your friends die just like your parents." I heard a deep voice laugh. That was probably Ganondorf. I thought to myself then I heard Samus scream again.

"You monster!" I heard something smack her as I heard her groan with pain. It made my anger rise.

Then I heard the last hopeless voice of Samus from the codec. 

"Snake....help..." Those words struck me.

Without a second of hesitation, I flipped my cardboard box and ran. To where? To the Arwing that I had boarded on this ship with. For some reason, I felt the strong need to protect Samus. I bombed all the enemies with anger that were trying to stop me and carried on. 

I didn't exactly know how to fly the Arwing but that did not matter. All I could think about was Samus who may be suffering through hell right now. I remembered the deep voice that spoke of Samus's parents. Revenge on the monster that killed her parents? I had no idea what the conversation was about but I knew that I had to help her. 

As many thoughts were going through my mind, I spotted the research facility.
