I bit the inside of my cheek, looking around at the clinic again. I couldn't hold myself back from asking now. "Aidan, was it you that killed Theodore?" I didn't look at him for his reaction. "How do you know about that?" He asked immediately afterwards. When I didn't answer, he grabbed my chin and jerked my face towards him. "How did you know about that, Feiye?" He repeated, and I snarled, anger taking over my senses. "I'd know if my twin died, Aidan." Tears of frustration ran down my cheeks.

He froze, and I cursed myself for even saying anything. "Twin..?" He whispered, letting go of my chin. I jumped off of the bed, striding out of the room. Of course, I still didn't know my way around the castle, so I just went in a completely random direction. Once I felt that I was far enough away, I opened the next door I saw and slipped in.

I need to get out of this kingdom before I leak any more proof that I know more than I let on.

I looked around the room that I had slipped into, which looked as if it hadn't been used in an eternity. Cobwebs, dust piled up on every piece of furniture, which included an ancient-looking bed and bookshelves which had books so old that I'm afraid that if I would dare touch one, the cover would break apart in my hands. There was a window above the bed, so I could escape from there.

I looked down at my clothes. A dress wasn't ideal for this mission. I walked back out, cracking the door open so I wouldn't have to waste much time opening it again. From the paintings on the walls, I could tell that these were probably guest rooms. Theodore could've occupied one of these, which meant I would have access to his clothes if I couldn't find anything else.

Opening one of the guest room doors, and it looked as if this one had been used recently, unlike the one that I found before. It was the same layout as the other one as well, but this one had a walk-in closet. The bed was unmade, and the books on the shelves were all scattered about. Walking into the closet, I was greeted by a little section of shirts, shoes and pants, then the rest of it was filled with female-fitted armor, capes, cloaks and dresses. There was also a weapon rack against an empty wall.

I smiled to myself before taking the only armor that closely resembled the armor that I usually wore. I took off the dress, and replaced it with the light armor. Taking the plainest and most unnoticeable cloak that I could see, which was an olive color.

I stole the only broadsword that I could see in the rack and strapping it to my back before putting on the cloak. With this disguise, I could easily pass as one of the female guards.

Striding out of the room and into the hallway, I saw a group on off-duty guards walking in my direction. I started to panic. One of the guards looked up and saw me. I tried to not act suspicious, and started walking down the hallway. I don't think they noticed anything. I slid into the room that I had first gone into, and walked over to the window. Opening it used a lot of force, but I did get it open after a few minutes.

Vaulting out of the now-opened window, slowly realizing that I could've just broken it and would've gotten the same result.

Now that I was in an empty courtyard, I looked around before running up to the wall, stitches pulling painfully. The wall was completely smooth, other than a few jagged spots higher up on the wall. I scowled, knowing that my shortness was starting to become a curse. I looked around the courtyard, frantic. I could just steal another horse... but there was no guarantee that there wasn't any guards there after my last escape. I backed up, eyes glued on the wall. Okay, I'm doing this now. Too late to change my mind now. Actually, I-- Running towards the wall, jumping last second and grabbing onto the top of the wall, pulling myself up so I was sitting down on it.

   Why did I do that?

Jumping off the wall and onto the grass, I smiled proudly at my accomplishment, but that happiness was short-lived when I realized that I had left on the north side of the castle, which bordered werewolf territory. My smile faltered, and I pulled up my hood, wishing that I had decided to ride the horse out instead of this. I didn't like the werewolf packs much. I've never liked how they ranked their packs, or how they shifted in general. Bones breaking and reforming. Fur growing rapidly out of the skin, muzzle and tail forming. It made me want to throw up.

I cursed my idiocy before deciding that I could just find one of the top three packs and stay with them for a little while. If I did that, I could hide there until I'm presumed dead in the elven and vampire realms, then, if I wanted to return, I would. Or if my mother or father died, I would want to take over that kingdom or queendom. Sounds about right.

Now... I just need to get there without being killed.
