Alpha Xander hadn't joined me in eating, he had told me to stay where I was and left. I didn't know what to think, since I was a guest in his packhouse. I noted that he was still only a year older than me, and probably wan't very familiar with the basic protocol. I finished the meal fairly quickly, and talked to the chef for the rest of the time before someone called my name from the sidelines. "Feiye! Come over here!" Alpha Xander's voice was groggy and i could tell from far away that he was drunk. But still, I obeyed, walking over to him. Once I got close, he yanked me to his side, face only a few inches away from mine. I could smell the alcohol on his breath. "Let go of me this instant!" I tried to pull away from him. "You're not getting away that easy." He growled, holding me tighter. "Xander! This is unacceptable behavior! Let go of the princess!" Someone barked from nearby, and the Alpha scowled, but let me go.

"Are you okay, Your Highness?" The man asked, scanning my face for any emotion other than shock. "I-I should be fine." I assured him. He sighed and gestured for me to follow him. "I'm Beta Alex, by the way. I assume that you're Princess Feiye. I apologize for my Alpha. He has a drinking problem." He said, soothing my tense posture. "It's fine, I guess." I smiled shakily. He nodded. "I'll bring you to your room, since Xander can't do it at the moment. He'll sobered up by morning." The Beta led me down a grand hallway with doors lining each side.

I followed Beta Alex to my assigned bedroom, which, he said, was right beside the Alpha's. I hadn't changed out of the armor, I had just taken the cloak off and put the broadsword on a weapon rack downstairs. I don't blame them for taking it away from me. I had pointed it at their alpha, after all. I was logical in some ways, but I don't get how I would use a broadsword to assassinate their alpha instead of a lighter weapon, like a dagger. It didn't make much sense to me, really.

"Here's your room." The Beta opened one of the doors, stepping in. I followed closely behind, studying the room. It had a four-poster bed against one of the pale pink walls, an empty bookshelf beside it. A door lay adjacent to a closet, which I assumed led into a bathroom. The room was large overall, with a lot of space that I could work with. "Thank you, Beta Alex." I smiled up at him, and he returned it kindly before he walked back out, closing the door behind him.

So that I was left to my thoughts and the slow realization of what my selfish actions might've caused in Ordan and The Fells. Hanj could wage war on both kingdoms is he gets wind of my disappearance. So many elven and dragon lives would be lost if that happened. The vampires were so much stronger than any elven army. The dragons would be the only advantage that they would have in that battle. I would be the reason my people would die, just because of a damn prophecy that I didn't want to be apart of. There have been many arranged and unwilling marriages over the centuries. Mine wouldn't make any difference. Why did I have to be the only princess that couldn't handle such a relationship? One without any love or choice? I'll end up being just like Diana. Unable to follow basic royal protocol. As our blood calls for.

I stared at the floor, attempting to stash away that train of thought for another time. I just need to get into something comfortable. A knock sounded on the door behind me. I resisted the urge to just ignore it, and opened the door, exposing a girl about my age. "Beta told me that you might've needed some comfortable clothes." She held out a bag full of garments. "Thank you..." I met her gaze with my own. "Ann. My name is Ann." She said hurriedly. "Thank you Ann. I'm Feiye." I put my royal manners to use. "You're welcome, Feiye! I'll leave now." Ann smiled to me before shuffling away. I pursed by lips and closed the door, walking over to the bed and started looking through the clothes that she'd given me. I found a grey-blue nightgown that went about to my knees. Biting the inside of my cheek, I realized that I would need a change of bandages soon. I would assume that I would need to change them every day, so I made a mental note to find a few rolls for myself before stripping down to my undergarments and sliding on the gown.

Even if I tried, I couldn't cover the bandages with any garments without looking like a royal clown. Sighing as I went down, I plopped down on the bed, sliding under the blankets and not letting myself give into that train of thought again by falling asleep and let the nightmares consume me instead.
