The Show

Brooklyn's POV

"Don't worry, you'll do great," Stephine said. A very sweet girl who's perfect for the role of Katherine Plumber Pulitzer, and the person I understudy, I just hope that doesn't come soon cause I'm no where near ready to play Katherine! That and I'm pretty sure Nick will have it out for Dan after we "kiss". What have I gotten myself into?! 

"I don't know, I'm kinda freaking out," I replied while trying hard to keep still. We were all backstage in the hallways getting ready for our cues. It was so nervous wracking, luckily I didn't have that much work in act 1, but act 2 I'm pretty much a background Newsie. 

"Two minute call this is your two minute call," the announcer said.

"Break a leg," Zachary (who plays Crutchie) said as he walked by. 

"Back at ya," I replied while trying to sound as calm as possible. 

"I can't believe my little sis is gonna be making her debut tonight," Nick said with an arm slung around me.

"Me too," I replied sweetly. "Also, you're only older by a minute and a half."

"But I'm still older." he slightly nudged my arm "And smarter, and better looking than you," he said with a smirk.

"May I remind you who has freckles here." I pointed to my right cheek. Ok so, I only had a few freckles on my face, but still. "With that being said, I'm the cuter one."

"Ya got that right," Ben said, aka the one and only Racetrack Higgins, and some random dude at Medda's theater along with Sky. Speaking of which those two are like best friends and are always doing some werid shit together, but when you add Josh Burrage (who's Jojo and Darcy) to the mix....all hell breaks lose. I think one time Sky whacked Dan with a wet floor sign and Ben was videoing tapping, yeah....I don't know what that was about, but if there's one thing I know then it's, why, just why do other girls find every single toursies cute? I mean sure they're cute, but they are also 12 to thirteen year old boys in men's bodies. Need I say more?

"Careful Benjamin," Nick warned. Ever since we were little Nick has always been WAY too overprotective of me. One time for dance class we learned the waltz. Let's just say I didn't get pared with Nick.

I got paired with my first crush and well....my crush never talked to me after that. Hence when I embarrassed him in front of his first crush. It was only fair. "All actors and actress to your places please."

"Break a leg," I said as Nick went off to his place.

"You too."

Act two

Ok so the show went without a hitch. So far. And right now we're doing well....Brooklyn's here. Yeah, the boys haven't stopped making that joke. And I don't think they EVER will.

I'm standing behind Nick and Josh while holding the sign. As the screen went up I couldn't believe the view. It was amazing. But I had to keep a straight face. Which I did. We went thought the song and I handed the sign off to Josh before going to my place for well...

"Manhattan's here." deep breaths

"Flushing's here." deep breaths

"Richmond's here." deep breaths

"Wood sides' here." deep breaths

"So's the Bronx's!" I did it yay!

After the curtain call and running off to the wing and then to the hallway I could finally breathe easy. But not before I was trampled (literally) by a bunch of boys who are supposed to be almost grown men. But by the way these guys act I'm guessing they're never gonna be grown men. Or at least Ben, Josh, Sky, and Nick. Mostly Ben and Josh.

"You were great Brooky!" Chaz said as he lifted me up in the air.

"Chaz, I need, to, breathe," I said since he grabbed me by the stomach and lifted me up.

"Sorry Brooky," he said as he put me down.

"It's ok Razzle Chazzle," I replied.

"Looks like little Brooky finally made it."

"Jeff, I swear if you call me 'little Brooky' one more freaking time I'll kick ya all the way to Tokyo." it's a good thing my mic is off other wished I'd be in big trouble.

"You really are a Brooklyn boy, or should I say girl aren't you."

"Heimbrock!"

"Masson!"

"Cook!" Josh yelled

Ben smirked then yelled "Burrage!"

"Wolcott!" Sky yelled.

What is happening?

"Flaherty!" Chaz yelled.

"Why are you guys yelling each other's last names?" Nico asked as he walked in with and Jacob.

"Don't know," Ben shrugged. "Ask Jeff and little-" Before Ben could finish I went to attack him. But Chaz caught before I could jump him.

"Ok Imma take the fireball back to her dressing room before she soaks someone," Chaz said as he tightened his grip on my waist. But not too tight that I couldn't breathe, just tight enough that I couldn't escape.

"Chaz put me down and I promise I'll only kick your butt a little," I yelled as we passed by well.

"What's going on?" Nick asked as we walked by.

"Hey Nick," we both said.

"Now where was I?" I asked.

"Um...oh, you were only gonna kick my butt a little," Chaz replied.

"Thanks. But if you don't put me down I'll kick you-"

"Halfway to Queens," Jeff said as he quickly ran by.

"Heimbrock!" I yelled. Then I somehow wiggled my way out of Chaz's grip and ran after him.

"Masson!" Chaz yelled as he ran after me.

"Careful, she's a biter!" I heard Nick yell.
