Nick's POV

I sat there on the bed while looking at a picture of the two of us after her first dance competition. I remembered she was smiling so wide I thought that her face would get stuck like that.

I then started to remember all the happy times we had together. She would always smile and laugh like there was no tomorrow. A single tear slid down my cheek. I was going to miss Brooklyn.

Brooklyn and her big smile, her laugh, those cute freckles that dot her face; the way her eyes would light up. I was going to miss hearing her tease and yell at me.  I was going to miss everything about her. I felt empty and alone.

Even though it's been a few weeks I still remembered it like it was yesterday.

flashback

No one had seen Brook in days. I had called her and she said that she was in Hudson and wasn't coming back on the tour. Which I found very weird. Morgan seemed like she knew what was up. But wasn't telling anyone. I could tell it was killing her inside by not telling anymore. I think she got a therapist just because of that.

Sky has been acting a little strange lately too. But I didn't question it for some odd reason.

It was almost time for a show when my phone rang. The caller id read "Kate"

I grabbed my phone and said, "Hey Kate, what's up? And how's Brook? She left the tour without telling anyone and-" That's when I heard her sniff.

"Nick," she cut off before breaking down into tears. But she didn't say anything and olny cried.

"Kaite, what's wrong?" I asked in a worried tone.

"Nick," she choked out. "Brooklyn, she's-she's..."

"She's what?" I asked. My heart was pounding out of my chest and I was hoping and praying that Kate wasn't going to say what I think she was going to say.

"Brooklyn's gone," Kate whispered.

I froze, time seemed to stop. Kate's words repeated in my head like a rigging bell. "What?" I choked out while feeling the tears start to form.

"Nick, Brooklyn's been locked up in her room since she came back and...she barely ate, was quiet, and just not our little Brooky. One day when I went to Brook's door and knocked there was no answer or sound. So, I picked the lock and when...when I opened the door Brooklyn was there, on her bed with her eyes closed, she looked pale and when I touched her she was so cold and....and I found all he pull bottles by her nightstand.  They were all empty and...that's when I knew that...that." Kate couldn't even finish what she was saying.

My heart started running laps, and more tears slipped down my face. I started to shake a little because I was in LA, while my family was all the way in New Hampshire. Not only was I million miles away, but my twin sister who has been there for literally my whole life was gone. Not only was she gone but...she over doused on her pills.

"Nick, you have to come back home as soon as you can. Everything is a mess here. Mom and Dad are heart broken and I'm just a mess. She wrote a letter to you by the way.  But Nick, you have to come back home."

"I'm skipping the stage door and as soon as I pack up my stuff I'm coming back," I replied. "Kate don't worry, I'll be there soon. I have to get ready for the show, I'll see you soon. I love you."

"I love you too," Kate replied before hanging up. And that's when I lost it. Brook was gone, she was gone as in she wasn't coming back. Why would she do this is the question.
