Brooklyn's POV
I had finished putting on my costume. Or should I say Nick's costume. I also had some dirt smudges and the cap was in my back pocket.
I was in the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror. Ok, sure I could do that in the dressing room. But I was feeling really sick so...
Anyways, I was taking deep breaths. I knew I had to leave to do my pin curls and get my wig on. But I didn't want to go out there and face the boys who would probably tell me 'don't be nervous you're gonna do great'.
I took a deep breath and tucked a lock of my hair behind my ear that had fallen in front of my face. All my hair was in messy ponytail. And that's when I noticed something, an idea popped into my head. It was a long shot, but it just felt like the right thing to do.
Five minutes before the show
Sky's POV
"Has anyone seen Brook?" I asked as I walked into the boys dressing room. I hadn't seen her since the one hour call. I knew she was really, really, really nervous to go out on stage, and she might have a break down. I remember Nick told us that Brook has last minute break downs when she was on a dance team.
And since Nick isn't here I wanted to make sure she was alright. After all I am her boyfriend, it's my job to make sure that she's ok. Besides Nick.
"Looks like for once Brooklyn isn't here," Jeff said, we all started at him when we heard someone say, "I'm right here."
"Nick?" we all asked very confused.
"But, your-"
"You can't-"
"Did I miss-"
"What's going-"
"Guys!" who I think is Nick yelled. "It's Brook."
"Brook?!" we all yelled in confusion.
"What'd you-"
"What happened-"
"You look-"
"Guys!" she yelled again. "I'll explain later." There was an awkward silence as we all started at her. It was almost uncanny. She looked really like...well they are twins...but who knew-
"My question is why did you-" before Josh could finish the two minute call was well... called. We all left to take our places and it was show time.
The Show
Brooklyn's POV
"Hey Albert, Elmer, Specs, you heard Jack, get a move on," Ben said his line as soon as Santa Fe prolog and after Dan said his line. And that's when it hit me, I was going on for Nick. And that's when I realized that I couldn't do this. I just can't.
"I was having the most beautiful dream, my lips is still tingling," Sky said his line. Sky had calmed me down before we went onto the stage. But that was the farthest thing from my mind right now. My mind was on the show, and boy was I scared.
C'mon Brook, it's simple. All you have to do is pop out and say three little lines before going to the bottom tower stage left, have my back turned to the audience, wait for the cue; turn around, sing and follow the beat.
"Hey that's my cigar." Oh boy here we go. I can't I can't I can't. Why did I have to go on for Nick. What made him think I can do this.
"Hey look it's bath time at the zoo." I wanted to run off but my feet were glued to the ground.
"If you can find her."
"Who asked you?!" I somewhat yelled with the others. OMG I DID IT, I DID IT. Ok Brooky, calm down you still have to make it through the song.
