A Pretty Revenge. (A Fairytail Fanfic)

Chapter 3

From behind a withered bush, a smoky black figure with red bloodshot eyes came out. " The master will be pleased to see you," it hissed maniacally (A/n: can you do that?). From behind me two other figures came with a golden net. Realisation washed upon me as I remembered that the net was made of Celestial bronze( A/n : my friend is a demigod), the only metal which can contain dragon slayers.
" What th-" I didn't have time to finish my sentence because the next second I was wrapped in the net. Two of the smoky guys lifted me in air but not more than three feet above the ground. " Follow me now. We shall be rewarded by the master for this catch." He then proceed to make a series of hisses which I realized with horror was his laughter.

I must have been screaming but at the speed they were traveling, it was hard to tell. Finally they dropped me on a pile of human like bones more like decaying skeletons. I quickly scrambled off it and observed my surroundings. All around me was nothing but bones and trees. In front of me was a throne hidden in the shadows. " What do we have here? Hmm smells strongly of dragon blood, might be a good treat," and with that the figure sitting in the throne started laughing.

He stood up and I started shaking in fear. He had black dragon legs, grey skin and hair which I then realized were sankes and from the distance he was , I could see his blood reptile like eyes which freaked me out more than I was. " What are you going to do?" I tried asking confidently but he must have heard the quaver in my voice because he started laughing again. " I am Polybytes, king of monsters and you shall have the honor to be my dinner," he replied.

I observed him a few more minutes and remembered that I had read a book on monsters. 'Maybe I could categories him. Hmm... Let's see bloody reptile like eyes, dragon like legs and grey skin. I got it . ' I smiled as I thought. Polybytes was a half monster half dragon creature. Very few monsters acquire that power as for that one has to kill two dragon slayers and thus receiving the power of their combined dragon forces.

It then becomes impossible for dragon slayers to kill them. The only living beings which could slay them are dragons. And these dragons like I mentioned have all went missing. 'Wow my luck seems to get better and better,' I thought, but something made me curious." You said that you smelled dragon,right?" " Yes but it isn't important now. My hunger is more important."

I quickly thought of a way to stay alive longer to be able to escape. " Could you at least grant me a death wish as I know I won't be able to escape or kill you?" I asked with hope he would let me live till tomorrow. " Yes I can let you live if you want but only till sunset," he replied slyly. ' Oh shit. Well at least I'll live a bit longer'

He then threw me in a cage , locked it and left me to rot. ' oh well that's better than dying at the feet of my supposed to be twin who treats me like dust or even at that guild where everyone apart from Gray. Damn.. now I'm gonna die and I could not even tell him goodbye'. I inspected the cage and saw that it was made of wood, iron and mud, ideal to keep any dragon slayers in it.

I looked at the throne where Polybytes was sitting and recognized the black metal , stygian iron, and bones. " Really what do you have with bones?" I asked. " Just a reminder for my servants to know not to mess with me," he replied with a shrug. I sighed, pulled my knees to my chest and closed my eyes.

Suddenly from behind me I heard the snap of a twig. I turned around to see nothing but a cloud of dust. 'Must be my imagination' I turned around to see if Polybytes heard it but he was busy sharpening a knife as tall as me. " Psychopath" I muttered.

~ some hours later~

The sun was setting which meant that my end was nearing. One of the smoky figures came up to the cage and pulled me out. How he was holding me I didn't know but he had a strong grip. I was dragged to a pole where my hands were tied behind and my ankles were bond together. Polybytes marched towards me leisurely and tested the sharpness of his knife by cutting his palm. Immediately, a black liquid started to ooze from the cut which was already closing itself. He brought the tip of the knife to my chin. I could feel the cold surface of the metal against my skin. I shivered at the contact which made Polybytes smirk.

" You've got much of an attitude for a young girl like you. (A/N: You are 13 years old ok). So I will give you slow death." With that he slashed my arm leaving a long and deep cut. I did not scream and that did make him angry. He slapped and hissed in a dangerous voice (A/N: Can you even do that ? ) " I don't want you to stay quiet I want you to scream in pain , beg me for your death."

I hissed in pain but still didn't scream which angried him more. He threw away his knife and started punching me which was far worse than the knife. By then blood was dripping from my body and I also coughed much blood. He untied the ropes and I fell into the puddle of thick red liquid , blood which was underneath.

"Say your last good-byes girl." He went and picked up another weapon , a scythe and put it on my neck. He lifted it and when he was about to cut my neck , the ground started to shake and the sound of trees falling down was heard. Polybytes dropped his weapon and looked around with a tiny bit of panick in his eyes.

I turned around and saw an immense shadow. It started moving revealing itself. "No , it can't be." I muttered under my breath.
