Chapter 5

~The next day with (y/n) and Obsidian.~

(Y/n)'s POV

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I yawned and blinked a few times before being fully awake. The sun was high in the sky which means that I had slept later than usual. ' It's been some time since I've had a good sleep.' I thought before being greeted by Obsidian," Good morning your highness." I glared at him," Don't call me like that," I hissed. He just chuckled, stood up stretching and left the cave. I followed him outside only to see him standing in front of a pile of woods with his hands raised above it. I watched as a black flame surrounded his hand and he threw it at the stack.

" What are you doing?" I asked. He turned to look at me and said with a small smile," Sending a message to inform that I found the queen to be." I looked as he put his hand in one of his pockets and removed a black knife that looked like a dragon claw. "What's with the knife," I asked, eyeing it suspiciously. Obsidian didn't answer but brought the knife up to his palm. With a quick slash he cut the middle of his palm, let some drops of blood fall in the flame and watched as the wound closed itself.

I watched as he muttered some words under his breath and the image of another dragon appeared among the flames. " Igneel, the daughter of Layla is with me," said Obsidian while looking at the other dragon with a smirk. " Good bring her to the realm as soon as possible. Over," was the short answer he got before the flames extinguished itself.

Obsidian made a portal appear ' How do I know all this' I thought. He stepped one foot inside so he was halfway in and turned back to me," So (y/n), are you wanting to discover your heritage?" Without hesitation I grabbed the hand he was extending to me and we stepped in the portal together.

Before my eyes was a world I didn't know could exist. There were islands floating everywhere, each of them adapted to each elemental dragon. In the middle was a larger island with a (f/c) castle. Where I was standing were only tall trees. I turned to Obsidian who was by now sitting on a log. He patted the spot next to him and I obliged. We both sat in a comfortable silence until I asked," How come can I know things about dragons like that you have human forms." He kicked a stone and replied,"Well it could be that your mother left those knowledges hidden inside you and it activated when you see a dragon."

" Oh, ok" I replied my mouth forming an 'O' shape. " Now Obsidian I would like some time alone please,you know to admire this beautiful landscape before me and to clear my mind a little." " Yes. I understand but take this cause I'm not sure that you know the dragon realm when you want to go to the castle where you will be staying." He said giving me a charm bracelet. " When you want to to contact me just touch it and concentrate then you will be able to contact me telepathically. " I nodded , went back to his dragon form and flew to his island.

I sat down on the smooth grass, closed my eyes and thought about the recent events. " Why am I even here already." I said while sighing. " Dragon princess and me wow.". I said and remembered the moment when Obsidian was explaining me that I am the dragon princess.

~Flashback..~

" I know you have many questions princess." I nodded and he continued by " Your mother , Layla Heartfillia was the dragon queen , the best we had till day. You know us dragons we are immortal as we have many lives. Your mother was the best dragon queen we've ever have and no matter how many times I say it I won't ever describe how much I admire her because we had many dragon kings and queens and like I said she was the best. She was ruling peacefully the dragon realm until the day that she had to leave. She didn't only rule the dragon realm but also the other realms like the wolf realm and the fairy realm. The day she went, conflicts were born between the realms, each one blaming the other about the queen leaving. You see, she was loved by everyone. Years later we received a letter from her saying that the reason why she left was your father.(A/n: sorry but I don't know his name.) Apparently she had fallen in love with him during the time when she was married to him. Once we all went to meet her in our human forms and saw that she was happy with her newly founded family so we watched over her from a distance not wanting to interupt her life. Then you and Lucy were born. Layla was  the happiest woman on Earth with you guys at her side. All her subjects whether it be dragons or wolves were happy seeing the arrival of you little people. Soon time passed and you two grew up. We all watched as you two grew up from how you started to walk to how you were treated. The way Lucy treated you was unfair and we all saw it. Even when you guys left the house, we saw it." By now my eyes were filled with tears. " Years later she came to the dragon realm. She said that she was going to die and there was no cure for her disease that's why she need to choose the next ruler. We all thought that it would be your older sister but we hoped not. She didn't even think before choosing you. She already knew ow you will become when you will be older even if you were away from her. When we asked her why she didn't choose Lucy she simply said that she is all that you are not and explained that Lucy is arrogant, selfish and very pampered while you were not. She also said that even if Lucy is the elder of you two she doesn't possess the qualities required to rule the kingdom which were in you and that you would be a very good queen. She also requested that in her absence one of us, the dragons will have to bring you to the dragon realm at the age of 13. That's why she chose you," he said spreading his hands.

~ End of flashback~

Obsidian's p.o.v. (surprise bitches)

I left (y/n) alone and went to meet Igneel on his island. He saw me approach and laughed," Why are you in a meatsack's body?" I scowled at him and snapped," (Y/n) told me so", and I added with a smirk," Cause she says I'm scary." He huffed and asked," What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with the princess." I shrugged and started walking to him. While walking, black  mist circled me and when it faded I was in my dragon form, towering over Igneel. I then went back to him and we continued our conversation. " Better now." I asked him a little  irritation showing in my voice which made him smirk. (A/n: Once again can dragons even smirk.) " Obsidian.." Igneel started. " Yeah I know this is my name. " I snapped back. He totally ignored the comment and continued, " About the princess she has recently arrived and I think you should probably inform Grandeena, you know to give her more information about the dragons, mainly Acnologia and her mission on the human realm concerning him. " " We must also talk to Grandeena about her her training and also her learning about other kind of slaying magic and useful magic like requip magic and charm magic. If we have time we could teach (y/n) the fairy magic . She won't have any problem using it as she's from fairytail. " I finished and looked at Igneel waiting for a reply. " Obsidian I can't believe that such an intelligent idea came out of your dumb mouth." Said Igneel dramatically (A/n: Just pretend that Igneel is dramatic not that I know if dragons are.) pretending to be in utter shock and started laughing his head off. The he turned back to his serious self and said , " Whatever dude you need to chill so humor is needed. However that idea of yours is very interesting." I was about to reply when I heard a voice in my head.

(Y/n) was contacting me. ' Um Obsidian could please fetch me cause I have finished and I would like to get a place to stay without being lost you know.'
' Don't worry I'm coming and I'll be in my dragon form so don't be scared. By the way you're staying at the castle.'

~With (y/n)~

(Y/n)'s POV

I finished talking to Obsidian and he's coming. Minutes later I see a black dragon coming.(A/n: sorry but I won't do the description again. I think you already have an idea of how is he.) He signaled me to jump on his back and I did. Then we flew in the sky, what a wonderful feeling, with the air flowing in my (h/l) (h/c). I have never felt this good. Soon we landed and i jumped off his back. Before me was a (f/c) castle. It was immense and beautiful. I was admiring it
while Obsidian changed back to his human form.

We were walking to the castle when a loud feminine voice echoed. "OBSIDIAN!!!"  I turned around to see Obsidian gulping really hard. " What's happening."
