(Obsidian's POV)

Crocus is absolutely magnificent. It certainly is worth all the trouble we had in getting here. You would've thought that since Sabertooth have been on the winning streak since the recent years, it would have become usual for them to come here. But no.

Just imagine how ridiculous it was to nearly miss the carriage that was supposed to take us to our hotel or whatever place we were to stay at no it was stupid.

Then when we managed to finally get there, literally throwing in the bags in our rooms to go admire the beautiful architecture of the city, Sting and Rogue nearly got in a brawl with the fairies out of all the existing guilds. Just what kind of life is this.

At last, having dragged the twin dragon slayers back to the hotel, we expected to get a goodnight sleep but it was as if Lady luck had turned her back on us. We were awaken at midnight for the qualification round.

Like really what's with life hating me?

But what really was a the cherry on top was the place where we were thrown into. A real mess if you ask me, even more messier than my room. Like extremely messy. There were broken staircases floating everywhere with a nowhere-leading door at the end of each one.

Nothing is helpful, not even the pointlessly maps that Nico had tried -emphasis on try-  drawing but ended up in further confusion.

Entering the same door for the fifth time now made me realise something painfully helpful.

"Guys I can just teleport us there."

Sudden realisation has strange ways, really. (A/n: I really relate to this. Did it ever happen to you to know the answer after the test, it is so frustrating!)

"And you say it only now!?" Aella whisper yelled at me, cautious about catching attention although I could swear I saw nobody.

"It is not my fault that my brain is a little slow at freaking midnight, besides we have been in for like only 5 minutes. You should be happy I remembered this now." I said.

No sooner said that I opened a small gate leading to...a green meadow?

Nevertheless we walked through and as soon as I was going to lay down on the comfy looking grass, a voice echoed. (A/n: When you are seriously trying to sleep and your brain is being an arse.)

"Congratulations, you are the first group to have been qualified, in only five minutes, wait five minutes you broke the record!! Well nevermind, you can now return to your hotel."

Oh please. I'm sleepy.

What must y/n be doing?

(Y/n's POV)

Swinging the scythe before me once again as a mean of defense, I continued the search for the virus that was causing this or even the virus of this virus, that is the one responsible for this chaos. Obsidian....

Actually the witches are not at all at fault cause normally they are beautiful creatures, always welcoming and humble, the completed opposite of what I had read when I was younger. But there are also some bad ones whom I believe are responsible for this. And I have a particular witch in mind. Faye. So it is not really a surprise that it is her look out that is the most guarded.

The three of us, Tom, Alice and I have to be alert all the time cause we would not want to kill or even hurt someone innocent.

Finally, we reach the trunk, house to Faye, the small structure glowing blood red, the light increasing and diminishing from time to time, like the heartbeats of a person, giving the expression that the house itself was alive, breathing and hungry as it had been absorbing anyone, anything that came in its range, the barren land, blood marks and disgusting smell proving my point.
