Lena's P.O.V.

It's not like I have an unhealthy relationship with food. I never binge eat excessively or starve myself on purpose. It's just that sometimes I forget to eat. I'm busy and there's a lot on my mind and I just don't have time to be filling my stomach when there's much more important things to do.

But Kara, she always remembers to eat because if she doesn't eat enough in a day, something bad could happen. So when Kara finds out I have been skipping meals - not on purpose - she immediately sets a new goal to make sure I always eat. Especially lunch, which is the one I skip the most.

____

"Have you eaten?" She texts me one day.

"I don't have time to," I respond before setting down my phone and going back to the documents spread on my desk. There's a small whoosh and then Kara, in her super suit, is walking through my balcony door with a container of salad and a granola bar.

"Here, eat it while you write." She hands the container to me and sets the bar down on my desk. I give her an appreciative smile. With a kiss on the cheek, Kara walks out muttering something about making sure to pack me a lunch.

From then on out, Kara always makes sure to pack me lunch or, if she's busy, reminds me to do it. And it helps, it really does, but sometime I have to work late. Really late. And that leaves no time to order a dinner, especially when Jess is long gone.

So Kara will fly over to L-Corp with another meal, but sometimes she's busy. Sometimes Supergirl is busy. So, she sends somebody else to bring me the dinner because she knows I'm gonna be too focused to read the reminder. And if I do get the text, she knows I won't have time to leave. There's a reason I'm working late, you know.

So Alex comes in. Or Maggie. James or Winn. J'onn even comes in on very rare occasions because, "I can fly and the others would have to take much more time. Have a good night."

I don't think I've missed a meal since Kara's been making sure I eat. There's always a reminder or a friend to assist me that spends very little time talking because they know that if I'm not eating with Kara, I'm extremely busy.
