The light of dawn shone on me as I woke up in my box where I had been staying for the last 8 months. I nudged my sister, who had found me the second night I slept here. She told me that night that she got separated from Thunder and Lighting, my two brothers , with no sign of mother. Then she found me. "Sky! Wake up if you want food!" I woofed. You had to wake up early to search for food or else you starve. That's the way of the city."Coming Luna." She said sleepily. " I'll look in that bin", I said looking at a dumpster,"You look in that one," motioning towards another dumpster. Sky nodded and turned to her dumpster and I turned to mine. I jumped in then heard a howl of pain and fear. I jumped out and my heart stopped at the sight. Sky was trapped in a cage being carried away by a human! I barked, howled, growled, and cried but he just ignored me and put my sister in a truck and started to drive away. I tried to follow them, but they were really fast. The truck hit a sharp turn and I followed. There was a loud beep noise then something slammed into me. Everything went black.
