Rescued

Chapter 6

We walked in the territory for a bit then smelt dog. I heard two sets of little paw steps coming towards us. Lily and I hid behind a bush and watched two little pups scamper around. "Look what I caught!" One Squeaked . Under its claws it had a butterfly. 'Wolf!' I whispered to lily pointing with my tail to where the scent was coming from. Then a huge, I mean HUGE, Wolf pinned one to the ground. Lily jumped for the wolf and I went to the pup that was frozen with terror. I scooped it up by the scruff and put it in the safety of some big tree roots. I heard a hight pitched scream and whirled around. Lily was trapped under the huge wolf and the poor pup was screaming for help. I didn't know what to do. 'I can't fight but I have to!' I thought to myself. I decided to fight. I launched myself into the wolf. He fell over surprised and his head hit a rock and he fell unconscious. Lily got up panting and I limped over to her. "Thanks" she panted. I suddenly remembered the pups. I turned to the tree roots where the sat shaking in terror. "We need to get you and the pups some help " I said looking at lily who's shoulder was bleeding. " I'll call for help " said lily. She raised her head high and howled for help. I curled my body around the pups and tried to calm them down. Stone , Titan , raven, half, white and four other wolves came to help . White imeaditly ran to the four of us while the other took care of the wolf. ''His name is blaze. He used to be the pack leader, but the wolves saw his treachery and he was thrown out. He killed my mother in revenge." said Lily sadly. "I'm so sorry Lily. I know how it fells. My mother left to find food when I was a pup and never came back. After two days my brothers and sister went to go search for her. Haven't seen my brothers scince. I did find my my sister but humans took her. I tried to follow them but got hit by a car and that's why my legs like this." ''I had no idea." said Lily looking at me sadly. "At least these pups will have a family." I looked down at the two shivering scraps.
