"Audrey~" My dad called out. "Yes father?" I ask as I stepped out of my room. "We're going on a camping trip! Are you excited!" My dad said with face excitement laced all in his voice, but the child I was thought it was real emotions. My child self showed a smile. "Okay!"
"Why are you showing me this!?" I scream out. "I don't want to remember! I don't!" But nothing responds to me.
"Father, this isn't a camp site. Where are we?" My younger 10 year old self asked, not knowing my father's real nature.
"Everything is going to be okay~ my little monster.... I'll make sure that you will be in no pain... I promise." And with that, I had fallen into a deep sleep. That almost killed me.
"Please stop showing me this.... I DON'T WANT TO RELIVE THIS DAMN NIGHTMARE AGAIN!" I scream, but to no luck, did it stop.
I could hear my younger self screaming, as the red wire stuck to my back, making the damned marking that's on my back now.
"This beautiful flower, represents that you are my murder weapon, that you are my monster. Don't let anyone tell you that you are a normal person. We are both monsters!" My father said as the wires pushed deep into my back. My screams only got louder.
"Audrey... Audrey?....." someone said my name, like they were trying to wake me. "Help! Please wake me up! I don't want to be in this fucking nightmare any longer!" I scream I notice my dream like state was finally coming to an end.
Audrey's Pov
I awoke, screaming as loud as I ever thought I could, with tears running down my face. "Audrey! Are you alright? What happened?" I hear Connor ask me, concern all in his voice. I look over to him, he look scared. He looked scared of me.
I get up, and go look at my face in the bathroom. My eyes. They were the bright green I hated to see. I open the cabinet and get my medicine, open the lid, get two pills, and swallow them. I got a cup and filled it with cold water and drank it all. I look back into the mirror, watching my eyes revert back to the slightly dull colour they used to be.
Connor was with me the entire time. I looked over to him, right on his gorgeous brown eyes, and said, "Thank you for waking me up." And hugged him.
I had never felt so safe when he returned the hug, squeezing me into a tight embrace. Sadly, I had to pull away. "Can you tell me what happened?" I hear him ask. "Y-Yeah..."
Connor's Pov
I sat in the living room with Philip on my head, it was comfortable to what I saw. Suddenly, I hear Audrey yelling in pain, like she was dying. I got up, and ran to her room upstairs. I opened her door to see her moving around in her bed. Like she was trying to wake up.
I scanned her body, noticing that the only things that shown up, were her back, and eyes. I went over, and tried shaking her. 'That isn't going to do anything...' I thought to myself as I tried calling her name.
"Audrey... Audrey..... Audrey!" I called out three times, luckily, she woke up on the third one. But she woke up with a scream, tears in her eyes, pouring like waterfalls.
"Software Instability"
For some reason I felt bad for her. When I asked if she was alright, she looked up at me.. her eyes were bright green. They didn't look human like at all.
That's when it clicked.... 'she isn't human...is she?'
She got up, and ran into the bathroom, looked at her eyes, opened the cabinet and grabbed a pill bottle. I couldn't scan it, but when she took them, her eyes changed back.
She looked over to me, and said, "Thank you for waking me up." And she hugged me.
"Software Instability"
The hug... it felt so nice. I hugged back, slightly squeezing her. 'I could stay like this forever...,' i thought to myself, sadly she pulled away. "Can you tell me what happened?" I asked her. "Y-yeah..." she replied with shaky breath.
"When I was younger, I used to smile all the time, but that all changed when my mother got ill. She never recovered, and died in the hospital.... after her funeral, my father... changed. He wasn't the happy man I knew. He was this cold person who would train me in combat all day everyday. I never knew why though." Audrey told me, her voice hoarse from the crying.
"Then one day, he told me we were going camping. He showed fake emotions, fake smiles... everything. When we got there, I was drugged.... I-I woke up a little bit later, just as he put the mark on my back. I've never felt so much pain before... but it's what he said that changed me completely. He told me that I was a monster, that I wasn't human, that we were both the same thing.... he told me that I was just a monster that had the symbol of a monster on its back."
She turned around, and pulled up her shirt. I looked on her back to see a flower, burned on her. I lightly rubbed my hand over it, She flinched at my touch.

"What happened after that?" I quietly asked her, trying not to make it worse on her. "All I remember is waking up at home with blood on my hands. I don't remember what happened after what what my father did... just that." She told me, getting closer to me, then pulling me into a hug. I immediately hugged her back, rubbing circles on her back.
"Software Instability.." 'You are her saviour... you need to open her eyes again.... for me...' a voice told me. 'What do you mean by that?' I ask it, but I get no response.
This wasn't the first time I felt this emotion...but this time... it was stronger.... it was love.
