(I really like this song, even though it doesn't go with the chapter, I just wanted to let you guys hear this.)
Audrey's pov
"What do you mean we're off the case!?" I yelled out at Fowler, to which he responded with, "This case had gotten to a point where it needs to be taken off our hands, we cannot continue this case." Hank and I began telling him how we were close to cracking the case, but it seemed I got to overwhelmed. "We can finish this, you are just to blind to see this!" I yelled, anger written on my face. Connor stopped me though. He grabbed my shoulder, and placed my headphones on my head.
I looked at him, to which he smiled a calm smile, calming me down as well. I then just stood there, listening to the soft keys of the piano, playing in my ears. 'I guess Connor knows me more than I know myself...' I thought to myself, watching Hank yell at Fowler, and Fowler getting fed up with him. Hank must have gotten the picture there, and stormed out. Connor and I followed.
I took my headphones off, and handed them back to Connor, who in turn, placed them on his coat pocket. I then turned to Hank. "What crawled up his ass and died?" I asked sarcastically, Hank chuckled at that, Connor grinned. "I don't know, but apparently the FBI took the case over, cause they thought it was too big of a deal. I mean, yeah no shit, but he still took us off the case." Hank said, an annoyed expression on his face.
For a while we sat in silence. I looked at the TV, and almost chocked on air. There on the screen was Markus, North, Simon, and Simon were in front of the army of deviants that surrounded the centre of the city. The FBI was there as well, it seemed as if they weren't gonna shoot them, if they dispersed. It seemed as if Markus was going to go just that, but the FBI had other plans it seemed. They all began running, many fell. I gasped and held my necklace, hoping many would be fine.
Connor looked at me funny, then it looked as if he had an idea.
